Description

This mod includes changes to the port interface.

 

  • Banner switcher
  • Campaigns in port
  • Save/Load signals (+demount all)
  • Camouflage filter
  • Next ship XP in carousel
  • Port changer
  • Current server population and karma information
  • Coal and steel in port
  • Equipment tab improvements
  • Improved primary crew
  • Crew assign
  • Carousel Extended (by BADoBEST/Capt_Oveur)
  • Crew in training room
  • Stingy by Default (by Capt_Oveur)
  • Good News (by Capt_Oveur)

 

 

Banner switcher - choose the style (old/new) of the combat missions,

container and campaigns banner by right clicking

Campaigns in port - easy access to information about active campaign tasks

Save/Load signals (+demount all) - save and load signal flag configurations as well as demount all flags with 1 click.

 

Each gamemode can have its own saved config.

The 'Load' button is not available if there is no saved config for the current mode.

The installed signal has a surrounding white border.

Camouflage filter - filter the camouflages in the camouflage section of the port

 

Dots and their values can be enabled/disabled with the 'Details' button.

Values above a certain threshold are golden colored.

The installed camouflage has a surrounding white border.

Port changer (Test) - will change the current port to a nation specific one,

while changing the ship, e.g. Hamburg for all German ships

Can be enabled/disabled in carousel filters.

 

After changing a ship for the first time with enabled option, it is possible to adjust the default port for each nation.

Therefore open the preferences.xml file located in the WoWs directory and find the 'chatBoxHeight' section.

Each number represent a different port:

0 Space Port, 1 Philippines, 2 Yokosuka, 3 Drydock, 4 Dunkirk, 5 Fjords,
6 Hamburg, 7 Sarushima, 8 Taranto, 9 Kronstadt, 10 London, 11 Marseille,
12 Nagasaki, 13 New York, 14 Novorossiysk, 15 Ocean, 16 Flooded City,
17 Hawaii, 18 Saint Petersburg, 19 Design Table, 20 Twitch, 21 Azur Lane, 22 Kure

(Twitch and Azur Lane will only work, if you have access to the ports already)

Additional changes to the original mod

  1. dragable panel
  2. signals/camos/flags changeable without opening the exterior tab:
    - left clicking a flag/camo/signal will open the installation infotip
    - right clicking a flag/camo/signal will uninstall it
  3. warning icon if camos or signals are installed for Co-op battles, or not installed for all other game modes
  4. option to switch between filter rulers, filter tabs and vanilla behavior
  5. option to disable 'Purchase Slot' and 'Purchase Ship'

Installation

Unpack the mod archive to your 'WoWs\res_mods' folder.

Start the game.

In case of you are using other mods, see Further installation notes below.

 

Uninstallation

For uninstallation go to the 'WoWS\res_mods\gui' folder and manually edit the uss_settings.xml.

Delete the lines with 'PortInterface' and/or 'stingy_defaults'/'good_news/carousel_extended' in it,

as well as the '\unbound\mods\PortInterface' subfolder.

 

Know issues

Carousel Extended:
- left clicking a flag/camo/signal to open the installation infotip requires 2 clicks most of the time

 

Further installation notes

The mod uses ModsAPI/ModInstaller for client integration, so there is no need to manually adjust other files (e.g. uss_settings.xml) in case of having other mods installed.

Why the move to the 'Other mods' section? It makes no sense, because all the mod does, is adding/changing interface components.

I guess no, because modpacks are programs which can install chosen mods and mod collection installed all included mods even i want install couple of them.

Mod converted to ModsAPI. It's probably a beta release, so please report compatibility issues with other mods.

 

 

EDIT: No feedback at all and only 8 donwloads. Not sure if I update the mod for future versions.

Would it be possible to add a border to the selected camo in the Camouflage Filter Mod?

If a player has a lot of different camo's available, if having a (white/colored) border around the chosen camouflage, it would be a lot clearer to see which camouflage one has selected. (screenshot added)

Thank you for updating the mod. :Smile_medal:

 

Unfortunately the updated mod is now suddenly no longer compatible with my already installed mods.

The previous version of your mod worked perfectly in combination with the other installed mods.

 

If I test your mod with an empty res_mods folder, the mod will work without any problems, but if I use it with my normal res_mods folder, the new border addition will not work. :Smile_hiding:

Hello

 

I have a question. Is there any chance to improve something by You, or at least passing my comment to mod author ?

 

Camouflage filter have limited usage especially having all bunch of camouflages, becouse it have only option "AND", but not an option: "NOT". For example I want to see my all XP camos, but without credit modifiers, becouse i want to use them, only when there will be such mission. etc.

 

like that: cost + credit -commander XP -Free XP

And then when I have not a premium time, I want to use only smallest modifiers. Not those 125%-400% ones. So ideally when checking ex. single XP "AND" box (NOT could be multiple) I want to see them from the smallest to the highest modifier. Or any other mean, to find at once only those 50%-100%, even while being completely drunk ;-). BTW. possibility to save current camo to profiles would be excellent option too. Having ability to save option: ship without camo, to play coop games.

ps. "border" is not working, when using only Your mod/or how to activate it, if it is needed ?

I understand, it's minor thing, but some of us want to role play his ships. So ex. US has this camo, JAP has this and i like some particular ship in that camo etc. Without profile, every time when I remove camo, I am forced to remind what camo was choosen and search it again. Many time i just give up, putting on first avaiable.

 

The same function would be welcome to consumables. I habe about 200 ships in port, all of them with consumables onboard.

When going into coop ex. to collects snowflakes i am demounting them, and mounting again. Sometimes by mistake wrong ones, when doing it an masse. Is's a houndreads of unnecessary clicks and every time You have to put attenton what are You putting on again.

Don't remember the former case, but it's working now. Looking at it, I just succesfully implemented it in vanilla dock.xml, to flags too.

I am working on some port improvements, but my knowledge of advanced modding is very limited and I am still learning it.

edit. speaking of Your mod

1. I don't see karma info. I am using 1600x1200, but as i assume it's not a problem.

2. Improved primary crew is very good. Much better then oryginal.

3. Please partition camo and signal mods if possible.

4. Please add this white border to signals and flags. This standard little "tick" is just invisible on some bright bavkground, and some of us are playing on very small monitors or laptops. Sometimes when drunk ;-)

5. Camo selection (AND/NOT) problem. I don't looked at problem yet, but i have another temporary work around. But it would take probably too much  effort. Look at spoiler. But in reality what we need is just simple search: ex. show the EXP ones but without credits ones. So mayby limit advanced search option to less choices ?

Every patch import all data about camos from games.params.Unpacking this file is easy thanks to ready scripts.

Make a local script on Your computer which will made every possible combination of results and will save it to templates. Then in game when ticking your choices, mod will compare owned camos with those templates.

  • Karma fixed
  • White border for signals added
  • Filter handling for credits/XP/crew XP/free XP changed to AND filters (other 3 remain as is), so you will only see camos that have all of the ticked bonusses.
