All idiots can now all of a sudden play these ships and make a mess of the game, because they have no clue what those ships can and cannot. Why dont WG rent out T10 ships to all Random players as well so we can ruin that mode as well?! ..... But it is certainly the case that WG seem to wilfully go out of their way to encourage poor games, but this can happen as much with 100% weekends or rental ships. I think I'm dead, so I fire what I can while still trying to attempt an escape. He did... nothing? I get out of line of sight and go dark again, then I spot some torps. In fact: 2 sets of torps. So he didn't do nothing, he did something: he spotted me, switched to torps, fired his torps, hit TRB, waited 6 seconds and fired his torps again. All miss. First think he does is start shooting at me because of something (despite my alias my German is not that good), an [edited] playing as [BD-SM]ZChris. So my opinion about rentals are mixed with a heavy lean towards: what a terrible idea! No CVs in the battle, I sink 3, cap 2 but still lose a star. Mein Gott! (ZChris seems to be a t8 player btw...) Maybe they re not idiots but i just played with a guy in a Zao. he played 1250 battles but has no japanes cruisers. at some point he was 3-4 km behind me on my left and he thought it was a good idea to send torps on my side to a smoke where a dd was spotted. Guess who was hit! yeah i guess he's not idiot but he lacked some experience, clearly. On a 7 players team that means a lot! And that's one example, i have others.... Wargaming does not want the amoebas to be left out, because they cash out from time to time. They are targeting to please the widest audience possible. And it sucks donkey-balls, it is not sustainable. Do they think they have the attention spam to evolve with the game? Do they think they will stick through the times with the game, good or bad? I mean take a look at one of my favourite bloody titles - Dwarf Fortress, It has been 13 years and we still see the same people playing within the community, the same guys testing and giving feedback, and their output of mods and support has been incredible. Wargaming is attempting to go down the Triple-A path, and I would not deem it reasonable. I also believe handing every commoner a TX ship to participate in clan battles or ranked kind of devalues it and the achievement. Thank you WOWS for this bad decision Playing among worse players is more chaotic but not harder - in fact, you should be able to capitalize on the chaos by bringing your superior situational awareness to the table and deciding games in your team's favor... plus, most likely, grabbing more than usual 1st spots on defeats as well. If you really struggle to capitalize on the fact that you're a guy with a clue among an army of people without... then you probably aren't as good as you believe yourself to be. [ORM] tinvek Players 142 posts 3,886 battles Report post #25 Posted June 1, 2019 i've got rentals in my port but all i'm doing with them is taking the opportunity to have a few test sails in training for future decisions on which ships to buy, no way i'm going into a tier X battle without proper experience it would be better if they allowed the rentals to play co op first to at least get the basic knowledge right about the ships handling, ballistics etc maybe make it so you must do 30 co op games in a rental before allowing it in a ranked match, that way anyone who really wants to do it would hopefully learn something in advance or even better do away with them, Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
