Why is there an option even for players of below average to take part in something such as this, and yes I do include myself, who will at some point go in just to see what it is like. What is there not to love, in any other ship they have chances to carry, not if I am in CV. Had a Kurfurst with 223 Battles overall, 2 Rental Conquerers with 300 a piece... a rental Shima, he drove the rental cause "I don't need to pay for repairs for it..." Rentals are a fact of living now.... i don't think they will change it as the good players will eventually move on from them and they can only die their way up hard.... Do yourself a favour and dont play Ranked if you only have access to rental ships, coz clearly you will have no idea about what to do and will just eff it up for everyone else. I agree -players should have at least gained experience elsewhere before going into ranked. I now "it's a game" but some players in randoms are a burden to the team - at least there is a chance due to the size of the team that they will be carried but in ranked with the smaller teams they have more of an impact. I know rented ships could be used but our clan discouraged players from using them in CB. I only have a Shimakaze, Zao and Des Moines unlocked at TX but to be honest I would not have used a rental ship in ranked just to be able to participate. Novices start at rank 18 and will slowly ascend. Veterans will start around rank 10. You will have some outliers. They will Fall back to the nearest inrevocable rank. Let und evaluate the system after the Weekend sind after one Werk. If you are then still facing many rentals you are not as good as or they are not as bad as assumed. How can we make more players play them? Lets give them rentals. *Insert toxidity memes* High tier randoms are bad enough With the tier rushers. I don't play Tier X but I do have Tier X ships and have played them in the past. I am not suited to Tier X gameplay as I get bored far too quickly and take too many risks. I do my best to curb this in Ranked!! I do think that this competition should be set at a lower tier - it would be more fun, still allow less experienced players to compete fairly and allow those who excel to rise to the top. Tier7 but excluding Premium ships would seem to be a good choice as this would eliminate the radar problem (especially Belfast!). I would almost favour very low tier as this would rely on skill rather than ship performance even more. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

There you have voice comms and hopefully plenty of experience among your members so you can guide the rental ship player around, not to mention it does allow some smaller clans to atleast try to play clan battles. Let's be more proactive and positive so that this forum actually serves a purpose. So, in that spirit I'll start. Few things to realise before joining Ranked games. Players who do play ranked generally will have a particular goal in mind (reaching Rank 10, X amount of Steel, etc). Your contribution or lack of contribution is multiplied in Ranked (i.e. 7 vs 7 means, if you die, 14% of firepower is gone vs 8% Randoms). In other words, what you do also has 14% more outcome good/bad in games. That is huge! Ranked is taken more "seriously" than Random battles. Please bring your fully equipped ships only to Ranked. It's better for you, and the team. After Rank 10 you will see more skilled players versus lesser ranks. So expect to lose a lot. Player should be very well aware of the points system in Ranked (Caps = X points per second. BB kills = X points added/subtracted, etc). If you want to just "try" Ranked for the first time, please do. But please do not give up or be lazy in the game. Contribute or you'll lose too. Now, that those are out of the way. Onwards... I will not go into details to what you should or should not do with each class of ships. That is something you already should have a basic knowledge by getting up to Tier 8. If you don't, you will not like (added after typo) what I will say next; then Ranked is not for you. Ranked is not a place to practice/test drive your Rental ships. Do not be selfish and sacrifice someone's time & effort in Ranked. What I will recommend is that you should really communicate. You cannot expect a player understand your intentions. This only comes from a very close team players who worked together for years. This will never happen in here. Solution? Type in chat, use B commands, use Mini-map to ping (highlight) a grid. Oh, on the subject of "pinging a grid on minimap" Do not spam it. It actually makes it more confusing. Worst players are the ones that do not use any communication with their team. I'm penalised immediately by not being able to add camo to the Groz I chose 2. My ship has brackets around it so all other players can see I'm in a rental 3. I have been discouraged in chat immediately upon entering game with various comments basically saying oh god a rental we are going to lose and it's all your fault noob This does not make me feel good about myself.
