Ok so I have tried looking at my own replays, plus others, yet in Windows 10 I can find nothing which will read the file, VLC certainly does not.

How do you actually get to watch them, what should I be using, WoT's has a dedicated site for replays, is it too hard for Wow's to do the same?

I always found that simply turning off the game, then going into the Game/replays folder and double-clicking on the replay file+waiting a minute for it to start does the trick... Don't think that has changed any or has it? :cap_yes:

You open the replays with the WorldofWarships.exe file found in your game folder.

Indeed, go to the main WoWs folder, scroll down to the replay folder, find the replay you want, and double click on it, this will open the WoWs .exe file and the game will load the replay.

So basically... Just use your windows Explorer and navigate to the replays folder. You will see a bunch of replays there. Make sure to exit Wows first. Then just double-click on the replay you want to see and it should start loading it automatically. :cap_old:

Do not press any "Start" or other buttons (touch nothing, I mean it) to start the game, just wait and let it run through the intro animations while it loads the replay. This may take a minute and then it should start playing by itself. :cap_look:

So then you tell it to use Wows-exe to open it. Also make sure to choose the option "Always use this to open"  so in the future it will always automatically use Wows.exe to open your replays.:cap_hmm:

Ok Just been on the tube searching for this very thing and I have come up with this..

<isReplayEnabled> true </isReplayEnabled> <ReplayCameraUpdate> 30 </ReplayCameraUpdate> </scriptsPreferences> <consoleHistory /> </root>

Very bad game design if you have to mess around with script, as far as i can tell there is no double click function,I really think the dev's need to sit down with tier counterparts in WoT's and discuss improvements, this is just so bad.

NOOOOOO!:Smile_amazed: Maan @NoobySkooby , you don't need to do any of that. That is old stuff dating from the time before replays were enabled for everyone. They are now so no need for any of this. I can see that confusion reigns supreme so lessee. Now take a deep breath, concentrate and follow these instructions:

image.png.909d8305b10d4bc9f7cf1c5272b8abdb.png

Step 1) Exit from Wows, you cannot run replays and the game at the same time so close it.

Step 2) Using Windows Explorer, go to Games/Wows main game folder and check that you see a WorldofWarships.exe file there (this is just to make sure you can find it later on).

Step 3) Proceed to: Games/Wows/Replays folder and RIGHT CLICK on a replay file.

Step 4) From the Drop down menu, choose "Open with", then option "Default Program".

Step 5) Click the button that says "Browse" and then look up the Wows.exe file from the main game folder (the one we checked just previously).

Step 6) Select the Wows.exe, as the program you are going to use to open the replay and make sure to check the box that says: "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". Then click OK.

Problem solved, you should now be able to open the replay files just by double-clicking on them.:cap_like:

Oh yeah, you can only watch replays which were made with the current version of Wows. Regrettably, any older ones are goners.:Smile_sad:

How can people play games and be active on forums, and have no basic computer skills?

Not trying to insult anyone, but wouldnt being dedicated enough to play games and go on forums, also mean that you have a computer interest?

AFAIK the WoT Replaysystem works exactly the same. Even the website does nothing more than sharing replayfiles with other players and simply boots up the game just like WoWS when you open it.

actually I don't know why you are having problems with that.

Anytime I double click on one of the replay files, If it's from the current version of the game.

It just launches the client and open the replay. Never had a problem..

Simpler way...make desk top copy of the exe. file and drag your chosen replay onto the file on the desk top....making sure game is closed down first

I don't think the flaw is far away from your own system. I have Win 10 and haven't authorised anything to open WoWs replays, nothing, they just open.

Perhaps in trying too hard to open the files, and not embracing the simplicity, you have screwed something up? In fact they are identical to WoT replays files to open. So it seems to me there is something missing in your pathway. It may be a peripheral but are you using the Game Centre to boot the game, etc. Something simple where an update or being stuck in an older order isn't compliant?

Yes I do have computer interest, but that said nothing I have tried so far opens the files.

I mean fat_maniac told you how to open them in the second answer to your post...

Just execute them with the worldofwarships.exe file...

Same reason why, theres an obesity epidimic in one half of the world. And a starvation crisis in the other.

humans manage to be capable of being gods of intellect and as dumb as a rock.

although this more of a jab at the species as a whole rather than one person.

also same reason why wargaming is too incompetent to have the same replay system across all of its games

They do have the same replay systema cross all of its games tho... The wot replay system works exactly like the wows replay system...

Out of curiosity, are you using Microsoft store or steam or something like that to run warships?
