Lol, thanks for making my day...

Obviously everyone knows, lack of experience and knowledge are prerequisite of excellence... :Smile_facepalm:

If you suck in real life, you simply need to have dreams...  :Smile_teethhappy:

I m sure that if Zimbabwe battleships had been bulit, they would have been the best in the world.

This is even better if you consider that the Russkies were barely able to build coastal ships.

It's funny how other big countries could build battleships, Japan, the USA, Britain, France, Italy, Germany...but not the Soviets, no. All they managed to do was refit old Russian built ships.

Well ... they tried

Look that up - the story of Russian ship building is highly entertaining. One can be happy they didn’t kill themselves in the process. The planning and decision process was - amazing I guess is the word and the industry wasn’t even capable of building steel plates large enough to armour these ships.

Long story short: with such striking incompetence there was no way in hell any of these ships could have ever been built. And even if a miracle would have brought them to life they wouldn’t have been among the finest - they would have been clearly the worst in the world by a comfortable margin

These videos and announcements are a complete joke and I feel very bad for the poor souls creating these

And when you pause to think what they did with properly built BB's like the Royal Sovereign.. it's fair to assume the problems wouldn't have ended when and if these designs had ever been launched and commissioned for service.

Yeah, yeah, we get it: Believe in the best navy in the world or go to Gulag. Not much of a choice, if I may say so. Which of course will bring me straight to Gulag. It's confusing.

And still no sign of Italian tech tree.

One of the five largest navies of interwar period and WWII.

Unfortunately the Italian Navy did not really survive the 2nd WW, firstly the Royal Navy did for a good part of them at the beginning of the War  with the Battle of Taranto, then there navy was split up by Germany.

Historical inconvenience for WG unfortunately.

They need to keep their nationals back in the CIS happy with their reinterpretation of history.

I confess not to knowing whether to be cross or just laugh. The most powerful navy for the majority of the period covered by WOWS was the Royal Navy and this was eventually overtaken by the US Navy. Both were constrained by Naval Treaties - the Russian Navy was not even considered in these as there was no large ships except the Gangut class which were slow and first generation. Of course we could insist that we have the various projects that the British and Americans postulated which were not built because they would have breached treaties or were simply not practical. Looking at the stats so far, these ships are OP and game breaking - in my country, this type of behaviour is indicative of severe feeling of inadequacy, something I would not have expected of a country that contributed so much to the defeat of Nazism. As is, I can see  this class of ships and particularly the second Tier 10 BB causing me to stop playing and look for something with at least some historical basis unless the class gets balanced against its peers.

Still part of what they say in the video's is true : war interupted them from copying and improving existing designs of other nations into real ships. When you copy and improve pretty powerful ships can emerge out of that. Many nations did that, being ahead is not always an advantage as right behind you your design can be overclassed as the original Dreadnought proved.

If they had not diverted any and all available recources to building tanks, artillery and aircraft in incredible numbers they would have lost the war for certain, instead of ultimately winning it.

But the Dreadnought was built by the dominant navy - to do something like that required a complicated shipbuilding infrastructure and the ability for individuals like Armstrong and Parsons to invent new creations - witness the Turbinia which cocked a snook at the Admiralty - I couldn't see that happening in Stalanist Russia.

Dude what are you talking about? What survival?A lot of Italian ships survived. You can't say that about other Axis navies in terms of percentage of ships they had to ships they lost. Hell even French lost more ships.

Actualy Russia was part of a  coalition  of 3 main countries that jointly won the war, the main and longest contribution came from the UK although with help from the Russians and Americans.

If it wasn't for WW2 who knows i think a lot of these ships might actually have been built.

As for the game i think the meta will prevent these ships from being OP since hardly anyone will follow them in a push and we all know that push will result in HE-spam and torpedo-surprise and probably some carrier lovin to top it all off.

The only ship that i expect to be OP is the Slava and that is because its going to be a long distance sniper instead of a brawler.

I am sorry but what ?

The UK fought long and hard that is true but i fail to see how they are the main contribution.
