either you a premium container in the armory, or you wait until the tenth daily shipment, which will be a normal container. Both types of container contain one item of the collection, afterwards you can get them also from the normal daily containers

Wrong. I had all 4 premiums previously, still received missions for all 4 (evidence attached via screenshot). 

 

And for those interested, credits are received if the ship is owned already.

How do you start collecting this collection - normally they just start dropping but I'm still gettting azure lane collection items. Is there a "Participate" button I need to find, or can you only get them through the premium shop and the new tokens?

the armory description is quite clear, credits. Only for the Murmansk you get doubloons, but you don't get the Murmansk through a mission...

(This morning I got 2 containers but they were both from "Dunkirk collection" (that I already completed), not from the "In the service of the Motherland" collection , am I miss something?

I asked already but no answers during some battles.

 

But now I discovered by myself: you must receive a Service of Motherland container (as it happened to me few min ago), but better you buy one with tokens, because if not you'll never start the Collection!!!

No! it didn't until today.... So, from now on it will, but since 8.4 update I've been asking who had the Collection started and no one had it!!!

So the only one that had were the ones that bought either Premium or standard (with tokens) "Service of..." container. Unless you had to finish first Azur Lane and then the collection starts... don't know, but it look strange you need to finish one to begin the actual one... who knows...!

I think you are right, this morning I received my 1st free container and the collection has started; anyway I got already 2 containers and the items I received were from Azur Lane collection, so maybe you have to complete Azur Lane collection first, let's see tomorrow what we will get.

Sure!! On the PTS... like this one 8.5 that doesn't even log in... with, like someone called it, surrealistic graphics that doesn't allow you to...

 

But then, how many play on PTS from all the servers? 5%? So my info was correct, if you're a normal player that doesn't play special PT, either you buy or you get through a mission,  but if you need better buy one for tokens soon. Easy

Started the collection = I don't mind the ship builders etc but why the project shells and guns which never existed? This was a good opportunity to tell us about real ships and battles so we know more about the Russian Navy. There were many heroes and battles - some won and some lost but it does not diminish the bravery of the Russian and Soviet combatants just because they didn't have the biggest ships and guns - if anything, it showed they were even braver. Please do some more items on real Russian ships and commanders.

Making a collection out of 7 items hardly constitutes it as a collection.

But there were far more - lots of pre WW1 and a myriad of destroyers. Used in WW2 in the Black Sea and Baltic, this fleet was bigger than the German Navy. We know little and should know more.
