What if some realism could balance cv spotting?

So, during ww2, spotting enemy ships with planes was a common practice. However, to communicate what the pilot had spotted, required a radio device to friendly ships.

So, my idea is to implement a consumable for all carrier planes, click it and for a set amount of seconds, your teammates can see what you see (like it works now). You can't spot through smoke, so it's not a flying radar.

Or

It can for be a spotter plane spawning and circling around the area, similar to how fighter consumable works today.

- With the future addition of support carriers, this consumable could be strengthen with special airplanes.

- And with IJN cruiser Tone, you can launch your own set of spotter planes in a select area to roam (let's say you can choose where to set the spotter plane with a limitation of 15 km within your own ship).

They already proposed balancing changes. That would be too much.

Don't think CV spotting is broken today as you sacrifice WAY too much today by spotting for your team (which usually will report you in the end for either just playing a CV, not giving them the fighter plane cover when they requested it or for not doing enough damage (spotting = no damage dealt, and you get no exp for spotting damage)... So, for a CV playing for the team, he will suffer greatly on personal achievements due to him getting no exp for spotting damage or spotting ships at all. Instead you will have solo players that on occasions will provide fighter coverage, but mostly will farm damage and exp (like all other players will, except it seems the normal monkeys thinks CVs function differently).

What is needed in the game now is an understanding that a single CV is not ruining the game for more than 1 ship, and that ship always have an option, sometimes you're up a dark smelly creek, but most often than not the DD makes the daft decision of pushing instead of retreating then starts wailing on how OP a CV is at taking out a DD, only 1 CV in game has that potential at the moment; Midway (should be changed).

Players usually keeps forgetting that CV's have a hard time instant killing as much as any other ship has, perhaps even more so. How often haven't DD's done devastating strikes with torpedoes , or BB's???), not heard any wailing about BB's or DD's being overpowered for a while. Guess the DD and BB crowd are now scared that 1 single CV can ruin the ENTIRE game as they no longer can play like before when CV's were not in the game. Same players keeps forgetting that before the change 1 single Haku could effectively spot the entire DD team for the entire match without much issues at all and in addition continue to deal damage to other ships..

Mehh, I love CV's how they are now, I am horrible at playing them, but now I don't have to be uber stressed about micro management, and the game play is more in line with how the other classes play..

I agree with you, many of the complaints are because people lack knowledge how to deal with a said situation. It was the same with rts cv, some players didn't understand that cv's often went for those who went alone (still the same with revamp). And often you need to adapt according to matchmaking (you can be more aggressive in battleships if few or no dds, same goes for dds. If cv and especially two on each team are in the match, you as a dd have to adapt, don't rush alone to a cap for example).

And yet u do everything right, u make no mistake and get blapped by a he bomb drop. Smoke will give some cover but it lasts for a 90 seconds, u can only dodge as good as ship allows u to. In the end its pretty much unfair game in a cv favor.
