Operations Hermes, Cherry Blossom, Ultimate Frontier, Dynamo, Raptor Rescue + CV's in co-op... any E.T.A.?

Well, the CV events/updates are done, and some time (exactly 3 months to date) has indeed passed since january. And winter is here in game of thrones. So...

Operations Update

In light of the changes to aircraft carrier gameplay, some Operations were removed from rotation:

• Cherry Blossom
• Operation Dynamo
• The Ultimate Frontier
• Raptor Rescue
• Hermes

Part of the gaming process in these Operations is tied to carriers. Unfortunately, at this stage bots have not been "trained" to cope with the new gaming process. Work is already underway to "upgrade" them, and we'll make every effort to put these Operations back in the game.

I like the few that are left, especially Narai. But it would be good to get back on the old ones, and I'm sure a lot of us are curious as to how the new planes will act. 

 

Also, having some AI'ed CV's in coops were promised at some point (although exactly how beneficial or not this would be, I'm uncertain).

The carriers do kinda work in training room. Me and another I had met in Narai recently went to the training room, each with a Ryujo and went against 3 tier 4 carriers and lots of targets on both sides and we actually had a blast!

 

And it's a good thing Narai is still there. I dare say it's the most requested one in the ops channel these days. Well, it's basically the only requested one.

I'll definitely test them on TR, too - should indeed be fun!:D 

 

KW was also handy to learn the attacking-side of these new CV mechanics while getting some exp as well... apart from that though, I agree on Narai completely! KW and Aegis require a joint effort of collective mass-errors to fail anyways (no real need for squad assembly), and Newport is usually too frustrating to return to. It would be nice to see something for the japanese and german ships again, too. Heck, even UF would be welcome again actually - I loved it with Gneisenau.

But you can only add premiums that you yourself own. Same also goes for adding bot carriers as of now.

Btw, even though I think I had selected non-moving passive bots, the bots were moving and kinda destroyed me 

But it kinda works

One of my favourite TR experiences was attempting a minotaur vs minotaur secondary shootout. It didn't go really well lol.  But at least we learned that it's actually possible to push two opposing ships together without causing damage, lol. :D

Grinding the same 4 bugged out ops for the past 3 months is getting quite booring.

Tier 3 random, ops and grinding the event points in coop is the only thing why I'm coming back to this game these days.

I would like to see an Operation based on the " Channel Dash ". Main task would be to escort the Scharny sisters through the English Channel to safety, with only Axis ships allowed. Good opportunity to model a real historical event.

I can think of many more operations that would be good. 

Some of them would even work both ways - like harbour attack/defence.

And maybe they could be PvP too, those caps are quite boring really.

Well, i was just thinking an OP very well suited ( historically ), for Axis ships :)

Or an OP with multiple human controlled carriers. Would be benefitial for the game in more than one way and it can be very satisfying playing with a teammate ina  div and both being able to play a carrier, it's awesome actually

A channel dash for escorting Gneis/Scharn, I vote in favor of it!  Would even play my Scharnhorst for it! (my Gneis sadly doesn't have a cap atm).

Or a Kantai Kessen operation! Me wantz! 

Or having to sink an allied escorted convoy with surface ships. Ouch, but tasty! There's so much that you be considered.

Heck, even the pacific could be a host of several ideas for future operations

These were some of the best operations we used to have. The only thing that would even come close would be an operation for either Mikasa or Yamato.

 

BTW, we are almost at the end of the Heisei era moving into the Reiwa era very very soon.
