I have 10 point Captain for Royal Navy carrier HMS Furious. Could someone with experience from playing carriers tell me what Captain skills to choose.

You can't go very wrong in the first 10 by picking

Air Supremacy

Improved Engines

Aircraft Armor

Sight Stabilization.

I'm these days leaning towards getting both 3-pointer survivability skills first. In order:

 

Air Supremacy (1 point)

Improved Engines (2)

Survivability Expert (3)

Aircraft Armor (3)

 

Sight Stabilization might come next at 13 points, it's a good skill but the 5% improvement in aiming time is nowhere near as essential as having sturdier planes.

 

For 19 points I've then gone for Torpedo Acceleration, Demolition Expert, and Improved Engine Boost, with my RN CV captains.

I kind of prefer Stabilization earlier since it allows for a shorter interval when dropping with the TBs, especially when crossdropping and against straightlining BBs,

giving the enemy less time to react and spending less time in AA.

What are people's thoughts vis-a-vis SE versus AA? I've been tending to pick the former first as it also boosts the parent CV a bit too (I believe?), but I haven't done the maths to test if that's actually really stupid, and AA is better if you're going to pick just one...
