Ever wondered why your AA doesnt hits a crap and every cv player gets even your DM down...

-lets player watch bomb drop animation

-what about planes?

-give them immunity and speed boost

Any dev with more than three brain cells could have anticipated that some players will find ways of abusing this.

 

I don't think they are dumb. It just shows how little thought went into it. But nvm let paying customers do the beta testing.

I disagree. [edited]. No person [edited] would proceed with this rework given the state of the game prior to 0.8.0.

Well... 

 

The speedboost is to catch up to the players apparent position, since the "reserves" are trailing behind. If you watch the video the position of the player planes skips backwards before accelerating and playing "catch up" with the player. I guess it is done for fluency of the experience. It can be observed even more clearly with the UK bombers.

Which would be entirely avoidable by keeping players in control of the squadron entire time instead forcing him to watch his ordnance. Right mouse button exist for a reason if you want to see

I'd be fine with that... basically how TBs work. I don't get why there is a need to watch your bombs drop.

Yeah we are getting superfluidly critical hits and fires while the AA is worthless. Ruining the experience for 90% of the players to keep 10% (and a single lead game designer) happy is a great idea. Obviously it pays out with less players and less money spent.

Tbh: i have participated in quite a few betas. And the stuff players do and come up with does surprise devs. The last one i was around for had a pretty easy and straight forward infinite resource exploit... It wasn't even that you had to do sth out of the ordinary, just regular gamemechanics used in a somewhat creative way in this one special instance.

Probably? It wasn't exactly unknown... just not widespread knowledge. 

I knew about it sort of. The imunity part atleast and i used it to "safely" recall a squad after bombing.

Funny, I was just pondering about how the immunity zone could be abused. I already use it to turboboost away from fighters, but I never thought about this. "Good" to see that the rework is still just as broken as before.
