I never knew you could get a ship via a free drop, so I'm excited to try carrier player, although kinda feel thrown in at the deepend, with it being a tier 7 ship! Shame the time has ran out for compensation, else my advise would have been sell it for gold and play a line you like. however, If you like the CV gameplay then your quids in and GJ. This sort of thing cheers me up slightly (okay, it's a CV, and not something more useful, but even so) - it's nice for newer players to get the occasional decent freebie. Oh so the refund thingy is gone now? (didn't care as I have enough dubs and am still kind of consent in keeping the premiums I bought for very cheap) So basically WG can now ultimatly troll people who sold their premium cvs by giving them back with these containers. If someone still had it he would've gotten a lot more dubloons then for Saipan or Kaga. [NIKE] Xevious_Red Beta Tester 3,412 posts 7,888 battles Report post #10 Posted April 4, 2019 -Kaga is pretty good -Her planes are made of wet paper, but you get an absolute ton of them. -Being tier 8 she sees tier X a lot -I wouldnt recommend trying to learn a class you've never played before at tier 8, its not the most forgiving enviroment. DON'T PLAY HER YET If you want any chance to enjoy CV game-play. I would get the tech tree tier 4 and play till you have at least unlocked the tier 6 before taking Kaga out. Jump in at tier 8 you will just get frustrated Good advice. The T6 Ryujo is IMO quite a fun carrier, so I'd highly recommend taking that 10-point captain to Hosho and then Ryujo, to learn the basics. Yubari is as good as it gets for Tier IV Cruisers! Install that juicy Aiming Systemt Mod. 0 and snipe the captains out of the bridge of the enemyships with meaty damage of those 140mm shells. Although havent tried them after the patch where WG buffed their speed. However, since they only meet tier 5 max and theres not much AA there they are still the best to learn the basics on, with tier 6 being where you learn the finer points. I bought the Yubari, still play it as lower tier games are lots of fun. Its a good light cruser, limited torp capabilities. but great AA for the tier! I’ve levelled to Aoba just to do the Exeter missions. Furry Taco was OK (but way worse than Exeter itself) but Aoba is horrible,, those torp angles! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The low HP pool and paper armor is having you be stingy with every Hitpoints you trade. But the reason I like her so much is her consistency. She is agile and manuverable almost like a DD. Her Guns are so acurate and shells so fast even DDs won't dodge your shots if aimed properly. It's also the only Tier IV ship with the Defensive AA consumable. The Yubari torpangles are even worse and hence only really useable when ambushing ships that come around an island or that don't pay attention. But once the fishes are in the water... Oh boy those torps are deadly! I have to add though that I am very biased. Exception being Atago Takao class, as she have one launcher per side facing forward, which is as boon as its a curse, as with IJN cruisers kiting is one of the skills worth mastering Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
