Here's an easy one - when having weekly missions that include farming damage from nation or class specific ships - could you double the daily bonus of those ships so more play them in Random? This week - 100% daily bonus for Russian ships.

Hunt the Bismarck.

 

In Mission 5, (screenshot attached) it says you can win the historical HMS Hood camouflage. "HMS Hood looked like this when sshe started her pursuit of Bismarck" 

When you win the said camouflage, it is the blue with red turrets. This is not the Historical Camouflage. Hood never looked like this. 

HMS Hood at the time of facing the Bismarck wore Admiralty dark Grey, not blue with red turrets.

Change the text or give the correct camouflage.

The "snowball effect" is very common in my experience in WoWS. One side loses a ship so 11 v12 then it loses more and more as the number becomes more imbalanced and the side with more ships, all else being equal, has greater and greater advantage. I seem to play in many games (win or lose) where one side loses all their ships with the winning side still having eight, nine or more. This can result in short games, and be dispiriting for players who are on the rough end of the imbalance but are trying their best.

 

An idea I have to perhaps slow the rate of the snowball and give the losing team more of a chance would be to give the team with fewer ships an advantage similar to that of “Adrenaline Rush”. What I envisage is that the team with fewer ships would have guns which reload faster according to the difference between the teams’ ship counts. Say (but not necessarily) 2 percent for each ship. For example, if Team A has 11 ships and Team B only has 7, the Team B’s guns would reload (11 minus 7) x 2% = 8% faster. If the difference increased to 5 ships it would be 10% faster, if it reduced to 3 ships it would reduce to 6% faster etc.

Hood/Bismarck CAMPAIGN

 

I appreciate the work you are doing on Warships and your interaction with the community. However, I am rather disappointed at the news of HMS Hood being sold only in bundles for the duration of the Bismarck campaign. I was excited about getting the ship (without extra fluff), supporting WG as a company, and participating in the campaign, but for right now my wallet will remain closed to show my displeasure with the unpopular sales tactic. I also do not plan on purchasing the unbundled ship after the Bismarck campaign is over unless circumstances change. Should the situation change and the ship by itself becomes available for sale before the campaign’s end, I will be happy to make the purchase. As such, I would appreciate if you could pass on this concern to the marketing department in hopes of remedying this issue.

my suggestion is ...the convert freely the experience on the ships...i love to play with tier 6 ships for now i have 2m experience waiting to be converted,also on the arp family onthe premium ships etc....in wot you can accelrate the crew training when you resarch the next tier but thats the wot...i think it can be convert on i dont know maybe something usefull and for free.

I have two things I'd like to comment on, for the consideration of the devs, so I'll put it here if you don't mind ( I mostly play tier 6 & 7 in random matches, so my observations might be unviable for other tiers):

  • Battleships need an incentive to not linger in the back due to their range and bring their HP to the front where they can actually support Cruisers by soaking damage. Something should make it an attractive alternative to sniping so that Cruisers can operate more freely.
  • Airplanes not equipped with a dedicated radio operator, especially Fighters, should either have a drastically reduced spotting range or not spot at all. The reason is that fighters in general (and especially in the early days) did not have radios on board that could also communicate with a carrier that was miles away. That is why Spotter planes like the Kingfisher had a dedicated radio operator in the first place. Also he was usually the one spotting, not the pilot. Ships aren't all that easy to see, it's the wake that makes them visible, and finding them in a vast ocean is an art for it self.
    I especially would like to point out the annoyance of catapult fighters spotting, something that a spotting plane (duh) should only be doing.

Fighters in general should do one thing only, and that is engage enemy planes. That's what they're meant to do, and that's basically the limit of their abilities anyway. Anything with more than one crew member can actually observe and report enemy ships, thus making the "no fighters loadout" for CVs more of an option, and fighter heavy configs stop making every move for the rest a constant run for cover.

 

Both of these points are meant to make any non-smoking CA/CL more effective, something I find rather lacking. And of course DDs would have to be engaged more aggressively to keep them at bay, instead of relying on the obligatory fighter sqdn spotting the cap.

Since there are very little dedicated co-op threads I have a simple suggestion about Co-op to make it more enjoyable without much effort. Please make the enemy team consist of RANDOM ships of same type and tier instead of mirror teams. It's really annoying to face 3 Tirpitzes and 2 Scharnhorsts literally EVERY game. This way people can use the ships they want and test it against a wider variety of enemies.

1. Remove the possibility to report players from enemy team!

2. Add one extra slot for the "super upgrades" where can be added only one of those upgrades and make them available to mount only on T8+ ships!

Suggestion/Question: i find it really hard to judge the relative size of ships in port and even in battle. If not already posted somewhere can you publish a list of stats for WOWS Ships showing LENGTH, BEAM and TONNAGE ?

Defensive AA consumable for Akizuki (Copy of original thread)

In light of the recent removal of stealth firing, I find that Akizuki is still a very viable option. Less viable than before? Yes, because regarding evasion, the less said the better, so the best firing range is a bit farther out than before. Now, this topic has been brought up a few times on reddit postsand forum posts on the NA forum(couldnt find anything on the EU forum).

So, to bring up this topic again, is it an idea to make Akizuki a more versatile (not better, like buffing guns or anything) choice?

Switch out her torpedo reload booster for Def AA, thus effectively halving her Torpedo strike capacity. This effectively really makes you choose: Become a full DD escort, or stay inbetween a torpedo boat and a gunboat.

I have a suggestion: high tier matches are currently being dominated by DDs, which have super-low visibility, further reduced by various cammos, flags, skills etc to the level that it's idiotically invisible. Please add a mechanic to stop people from unbalancing ships by focusing all upgrades into one topic (like invisibility). Like make benefits of further effects to the same are cumulatively weaker.

 

Second: please make that smoke only reduce visibility and not completely stop it. Smoke screen is not an island, it should make firing at a ship less accurate and detecting it harder, but not impossible. Current mechanic of sitting in smoke and blasting away is totally stupid and has no real or historic precedent. Firing from smoke should increase the bloom even more than it's the case now.

 

Also high tier DDs should have their torpedo reload times dramatically increased, since now they just spam their long range packages of mega-death all over the place while being invisible. This is no fun and again it's realistically idiotical to think about a single DD launching several salvos of torps in a single battle from a single tube. How many torps do they carry? Historically it should be single set in tubes and MAYBE one more set for reload later. Otherwise every hit on a DD should have a 50% chance of causing a magasine explosion, since those are floating torpedo carriers.

Suggestion: New Consumable - for dds maybe? Decoy Ship - when deployed it moves slowly forward and is able to take 1000-2000hp amount of damage, or for max 2 min. Decoy looks like a dd, bb or cruiser of same tier and nation as the deploying dd.

 

Could be fun to mess around with :)

Introduce 2 pools for matchmaking in tier 8-10. Have some threshold for playing in the higher skilled group - could be for individual ships as well. If you perform better or isn't reported for poor play every other game - you leave potato pool. Otherwise, you remain there and might enjoy not getting killed or raged on for camping, etc.

1) I would like the option of only playing against same tier opponents in random battles. If it can be done for rank games why not random?

 

2) Death means automatic return to port.

 

3) Give players a chance of winning tokens to allow free conversion of elite xp to free xp.

Rather less important suggestion, but may be cool for players:

Adding Foghorn activated by player. Of course that needs to be limited at probably 5 seconds of use, 3 times per battle...otherwise people will abuse it.

But imagine scoring a big salvo on enemy BB and then you activate the foghorn. Or announcing your division mates you re going to release a salvo.

Or making a player aware of his direction and change course. etc. Not so important to the gameplay...but may be cool.

What I would LOVE to play is server vs server matches! Maybe in an event but I want to cross weapons with the RU, SEA and NA server players. I know if you'd even consider it, it won't be anytime soon. But it shouldn't be too hard. Simplistically speaking it can be something like the elements event? A total of points system and the winning server gets a nice reward. I think this can be so awesome! I'd pay a year's income to torp Yuro, oneshoot iChase or wait for Notser to pull a Notser and shoot the living daylights out of him!

I would like to have a closer observation of my ship at the port.

For example a closer freecam so i can ''walk'' at the deck 

and observe the guns the radars the torps ..... 

A tool for ship lovers to make better videos and screenshots..

I would also like to have a big fat ship bass horn to annoy my team and enemies at randoms :red_button:

and warn my teammate before he rams me...  

with the ability to mute horns if they annoy me :facepalm:

Another thought: an "open matchmaking." Somewhat of a "hybrid" between random and team battles. Why not open up matches in this or that map with a tier specific type and limited ship type in which players can "subscribe?" F.e. open a "tiers of the desert domination" Random Battle mode map with a limit of 1 CV, 3 BB's, 4 DD's and 4 CA's per side around tier 9? (8-10 allowed). And lots of varieties in maps/ tiers. I would like to try that and wouldn't mind sitting in queue longer. And I mean to add this function together with already existing.

Cap carriers to a maximum of one ship in a tier 4-5 match. Allow historic BB hulls (Kaiser IV, König V) and remove the fantasy uppgrades (since they mainly focus on increasing AAA). In short: no twin carriers but less AAA at tiers 4-5.

Have you considered binding specific keys to a specific consumable? So Heal is always T and not U on other ships for example.. Would be really nice that what you should use just press the right key per instinct in the heat of a battle. and not launch a fighter or pop smoke, because you changed your ship from the last game

Ability to lock the portait when chosing new captain.

 

There is quite a few people (including me) that likes to make that perfect captain and match portrait and name that would suit him. Peronally I can spend more than hour looking for that perfect match. Therefore, what could be helpful is a simple ability to lock the chosen portait while searching for the name. It would lower the time needed to create the captain you look for.
