Soviet battleship Slava, tier X

Slava will take her place next to the Kremlin and will be the second tier ten in the line of Soviet battleships. The reason why we did not install her guns as an alternative module on the Kremlin and decided to introduce a new battleship are due to the following factors: gun calibres of 457 mm vs 406 mm have a large difference in gameplay and armor penetration. This is especially noticeable when interacting with cruisers and directly affects their behavior in battle.

The second ship will offer an alternative gameplay that will be different from the "main" tier X and will help to avoid confusion in determining the caliber of the guns. The initial concept that we want to test on the battleship Slava at the moment is a ranged sniper with good armor, but with less damage per minute and fewer hit points than her sister. In the future, we plan to make similar separation for other ships with similar differences in the game.

Hit points – 91800. Plating - 32 mm. The armour scheme is identical to the battleship Kremlin.

Main battery - 3x3 406 mm. Firing range - 22.7 km.

Maximum HE shell damage – 5800. Chance to cause fire – 40%. Maximum AP shell damage - 13450. Reload time - 30.0 s. 180 degree turn time - 30.0 s. Maximum dispersion - 267 м. HE initial velocity - 870 m/s. AP initial velocity - 870 m/s. Sigma – 1.9.

Secondary Armament:

8x2 130.0 mm, range - 6.0 km. Maximum HE shell damage – 1800. Chance to cause fire – 8%. HE initial velocity - 950 m/s

AA parameters are not shown because they are being balanced.

Maximum speed - 30 kt. Turning circle radius - 1090 m. Rudder shift time – 16.3 s. Surface detectability – 16.7 km. Air detectability – 13.7 km. Detectability after firing main guns in smoke – 16.2 km.

There is a typo on Yuudachi torpedoes ? Right ? Tell me there is a typo. 57 knots and 2.5 detectability ? It's an error right ? Should be 75 knots ?

Is the Slava going to be an alternative regular tier X ship split from the tier IX, or is it going to be a premium ship available via free XP/Coal/Steel/Vodka?

 

Also, is it accurate to expect the Benham to be a free XP premium? WG has long hinted at having a free XP premium DD in the pipeline and this one very much looks like it, but a confirmation would be nice.

Wait. Is Siroco literally (except for 10m turning radious) the same as the tech tree T4 Bourrasque? Is there a typo or some other mixup?

Okay, I guess it can be interpreted in different way as well, but imo this is clear that she'll be second end to the silver line. Also in the picture her name is in silver, compared to the gold used for premium ships.

 

 

Also:

Would imply similar treatment for British BB line (TX Thunderer when :D).

Considering her desired gamestyle as a ranged sniper is fundamentally opposed to the entire line that would precede it, I think a clarification would be appreciated. The shift in gameplay would be extremely radical to just make her a regular tier X split.

That's true, but the way the text is written (+ the picture), I just don't see any questions here myself. I guess WG still needs to improve their texts a bit, so that no such questions will arise in future, like:

 

  • Slava will be second soviet TX silver BB

Maybe im wrong, but the Benham looks like Tier Vll or Stock Tier Vlll and to weak for Tier lX.

The T8 french light cruiser seems ok for me. I Like de Grasse, i like Charles  Martell. On the other hand: i would Not spend money, too much other ships. But maybe in a Christmas Parcel ok.

Hmm, the Yuudachi torp detection really seems wrong.

Assuming the Slava is a silver alternative, I guess 155 Mogami becomes its own ship as well (long with 457mm Conqueror).

Also: 13mm plating on the Bayard?! Every T8 cruiser except the Edinburgh has 25mm (or 27 for US and KM CAs).

Believe me I read the text just right, but with the jarring disconnect of gameplay I'd like to double down on a confirmation. Wouldn't be the first time some stuff was lost in translation and if WG tells me it's a seagull but it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck I rather ask again to make sure.

Seems the way for a lot of low tier premiums, probably to try and prevent sealclubbing.

The Siroco is a Bourrasque Class. So yes, it is the same ship and practically the T5 Cyclon from operation dynamo.

What? This french T5 has better torps then ijn torpedo boat at T7, are they serious? 2.5 km detection with this speed? Even icebergs will dodge these.
