Ok I am heading for the endgame which is tier ten, and worry not guys I am a long way off yet.

I'm not sure what to go for, normally I am a BB guy and if I stayed true to those then the target ships would be either the Montana or the Republique.

But alas I am being diverted off course by the though of two cruisers, one being the Minotaur the other being the Worcester.

I probably will start grinding lower tier ships once I have a tier 10 ship, but if you had this choice of these four, which one would you go for?

Well, I went for the Mino as my first T10, but then I'm probably a bit of a masochist, because it certainly receives paddlin's if you're not careful (and you have to go through the Neptune, which basically bends over to get spanked by everyone if anyone so much as catches a peek at her).

Second one was the Yamato.

Can i ask why?

The cruisers are hard to play.

While Republique is a solid choice too, her playstile is different. One could call it more advanced.

true - on the other hand, I found the grind to Republique a lot more interesting and enjoyable. Every ship is different, every ship is interesting, solid performers all around (once you're through Bretagne, that is^^). Not that NC and Iowa are bad, midn you, just not as interesting to me as Rich and Alsace.

Fair do's, while the cruisers with their insane dakka dakka capability's are so tempting, and they may still tempt me, the Montana does look a mean ship, but judging by my Iowa, they seem to burn easily, which did sort of surprise me a little.

Fire chance is tied strictly to tier, not particular ship. Higher the tier, the lower the burn chance coefficient (lesser chance to be set on fire).

FP skill and slot 2 module as well as BOS skill are highly advisable, managing dcp and heal is part of the learning curve aldough i expect you are already profitient in that having an iowa

The French BB line is arguably one of the more balanced and well rounded lines from tier 8 and up (the Lyon is just an abomination) which offers different playstyles between each ship. All this culminates in the Republique, a fast and comfortable gun platform with punishing guns, however it is clad in 32 mm armor so it is suprisingly squishy.

The Montana is more standard, and again from tier 8 you basically get nothing but keepers. The Montana has one of the heaviest broadsides in the game, with pretty solid armor and AA.

Both ships are good, I personally would go for the Republique since it is pretty unique and above all fun to play. But it is not that easy to play, so if you want a more entry level tier 10 the Montana would probably be it.

Doesnt make it more enjoyable tho...

You dont gain anything really from playing T10 (only). On the contrary, its even harder to maintain your income without using any real money in the process.

Montana was my first TX and I don't regret it. Overall and excellent BB.

Cruisers you've mentioned require proper target selection and positioning to deal damage. I wouldn't recommend those as your first TX.

That being said I would advise you to take a step back to tier 5-6 and learn the game a bit more first. If you wish to improve, that is.

I will say Minotaur. Do not take me wrong here, I was deleted so many times it is not funny.

But after going with radar mino now I am using Legendary Module mino, and it is insane.

You have to be carefull, and my stats are probably horrible but it is so much fun to rain the shells.

Any mission that needs 200+ hits with main armament is easily doable and being deleted does not bother me at all.

One thing it does good is to teach you doing things right, if you do things wrong you are deleted.

I cannot click with Montana I like Yamato, I have no opinion about Republique yet.

Judging from how you are playing your ships - go for the Republique as the French BB's seem to fit best with you. But......

I strongly advise that you stop free xp'ing silver ship progression and actually play them enough to unlock the follow on ships - that is the only way to learn the game and, with respect, you have a lot yet to learn.

I'll repeat what has been stated already, there is no 'end game' per se and most players enjoy all the tiers (but <6 tends to be seen as seal clubbing once you have unlocked higher tiered ships).

If his stats are "so bad" that even you start to stat shame then he's right where he belongs: At TX.  Just to ruin elitist's games. :cap_cool:

Ha I wouldn't worry too much, as I say I am  long way off t10 yet, everything is a learning curve, besides stats are not everything, but just another quick one, can you still trade in your CV's for fxp and credits or have I missed the window for that?

I like BBs but they are pretty boring and not that hard to play. If you want a real challenge you try and get great playing a cruiser. Besides Mino and Wooster there is also the T10 tank Hindenburg to consider, the cruiser that goes full bananas into 2-3 T10 enemy BBs and kill them all and survives!!

Pretty much same long range fire potential as the Zao, devestating up close, great at killing both T10 BBs and T10 DDs.

You are right I want to reach the t10, then go on to start a grind somewhere else, maybe the German line, or the Japanese DD's. Yes I have a lot to learn and my clan don't really help ie they don't give out handy tips but are oh so quick to point out mistakes, so I tend to not division up with them as they care more for stats than they do about helping the newbies, well and old newbie like me.

I learn more from you guys actually in the forums, but again i come looking for help not judgement on my stats, whatever ills and wrongs I do, I see plenty of others do too, watching Notser and Flamu on YouTube helps somewhat too, so if i play like a bot, I am not one, just some random guy doing his best.

Then I suggest you look at youtube for some guides and play coop and stick with lower tiers until you can get your aim straight. Look at the better players and how their stats looks. Stats are a guide that shows if you are even close to being a good player.

If you really want to be a great BB player you need to learn how to brawl and do close quarters.

Most BB players these days have 0 experience in going anywhere near enemies let alone close quarters. They mostly just run away at the first sight of enemy.

Stick to youtube videos first so you can get some idea how to BB.
