Yes, however you need practically the same amount of knowledge of the previous iteration (you only need to discard the control scheme and fighter play, everything else still applies) in addition to knowledge on how to perform in reworked CVs specifically.

Aka CVs have actually become more difficult to play and master with the rework.

My personal experience is that the CV's after rework were fairly easy to get into, and do well in, even with zero experience with the RTS CV's. The CV gameplay itself is mostly simple. It's somewhat fast paced, but lacks the multitasking requirements of the previous iteration.

I feel it should come fairly easily to anyone who's played the other ship types -- preferably all of them -- with success. If this is the case, you pretty much instinctively know what's a smart course of action in each situation. You already have the map awareness, and appreciate it enough to understand your value as a CV for maintaining it. You recognize the vulnerable and valuable targets in each situation.

On a personal level, after somehow getting a hang of the AP dive bombers and finding a good captain build, I find Shokaku to be extremely powerful in the current version (0.8.1.1). My average damage is above anything I've ever played in tier 8, and I feel there's still some untapped potential in there.

However, the skill floor is just massive. If the the player hasn't mastered the other ship types reasonably well, I think it's almost unavoidably going to be a frustrating experience. There are absolutely no crutches to help the average player. The USN line might be somewhat more forgiving what comes to executing the individual attacks, but that's it.

Any success? Yes but it depends too much on how good the enemy play the situation is similar to the old one's if the enemy stay grouped you can just spot and wait, anyway this gameplay is too boring for me so i refounded them all 3days ago

There's two ways to look at this topic fyi.

One is to whether one has success 'playing' the new CVs - here I have 0 success since I refuse to play them (other than in the early 'testing' phase).

Two is to whether one has success 'playing against' the new CVs - here I quite enjoy sinking every new reworked CV I possibly can (with fellow team assistance ofc).

Quite a bit, I went from 65k dmg to 112k dmg average in Haku, but my winrate dropped immensively. Perhaps because I play solo always, play less for objectives and other 2 CV are just much better atm.

Few things I picked up.

- Playing for objectives is a waste of time. The best you can do is leave a fighter and wish your dd good luck. Ofcourse whenever a DD is low or alone while you are flying attack aircraft, its always wise to go for it. I say this because Haku, unlike other 2 CV, doesnt have the tools to deal with DD properly.

-Never waste your time supporting allies unless you were heading that way already or see that they can actualy take that cap.

- Avoid Mino and Worcester at all cost. I usualy just scout for their heavy AA location and focus other side of the map.

These tips are just so you can deal dmg, not necesarily the best way to win games. I dont care about winrate, as long as I come out of that game with 200k+ dmg Im satisfied, picking a few tears along the way is always delicious.
