Greetings fellow Captains! ^_^

 

I finally got Atlanta after long 2 years. 

 

So wanted to ask which Captain skills & Upgrades  should I take for Atlanta? =)

 

Thanks in advance!

I'd change PT to Preventive Maintenance, but otherwise I think that's my build too. ..and I skip on AFT. I think I picked DE, but not sure.

she has unlimited defAA and very situational radar (especially when uptiered) so definitely DE over SI, but if you wanna keep using that captain on Seattle or Wooster, then SI ofc.

 

slot1 - main armaments mod (u dont wanna loose turrets or torp tubes) and most of your AA comes from your 127mm DP guns

slot2 - rudder mod - broken rudder will kill you, broken propulsion will slow u down.

slot 3 - AA mod 2

slot 4 - i prefer propulsion module, she is and island hugger

 

dont bother with AA much, she does not have mid range aura so her AA dps is crap, just make sure you got AA vector facing the right way and use defAA if getting dropped.

Auxillary

Propulsion

AA

Propulsion

 

..but, I could easily go for Rudder instead.

I used to put my dd captian on it PM-LS-BFT-AFT-CE-SE-AR but IMHO she just doesnt cut it anymore, used to be she was a thumper for AA work but the way AA is structured now she just doesnt perform, KIdd beats her hands down in downing planes but unlike her isnt made of glass citadel, helena is also better in AA, good ol lolanta just doesnt have enough mid/short range AAA to be reliable, might be a Flint is a better choice since it has lot more of it

So, no concealment, no priority target?

 

And I'm pretty sure PT is still a hella lot more useful than PM.

You're either unspotted or targeted by the whole enemy team. I'd pick PM but each to his own.

They did tweak short/mid range AA to prevent Atlanta from being exposed like that, and she still performs strongly, but the DFAA consumable isn't what it was, for sure.

'more advanced'... as in if there's a dd near or not..? If/when he is launching torps..? Are there other 'advanced' uses? I haven't said PT is useless, I used it earlier, but for Atlanta, I prefer PM. ...but ofc only if you have the braiiins for it :cap_cool:

Lolanta/Cleveland capitan of mine

PT,AR, BFT, CE, IFHE, AFT. While ditching AFT is an option, 11km range on T9 is very no bueno, even if Dual Purpose Mortars are mortars.

 

upgrade wise, MAM1, [whatever you fancy mod.1], AA guns mod.1 and Propulsion mod.

 

Rudder shift on Atlanta is inexcusable, but unless your rudder time is well above 15s I find quicker acceleration more useful. And if you have over 15s rudder time, you usually take DCS mod2 :Smile_hiding:

as others said, i just wanna emphasize certain skills i think u'll really need to be able to njoy the ship in pvp:

aft, ifhe, concealment! everything else is matter of taste (mostly not really), but these skills make the ship work! aft in that regard is a must have imo, simply as being said, u need any xtra bit of range on f.e. t9.
