@MrConway I need to know why the hell would you nerf Midway TBs aplha dmg AND flooding chance right before you change the entire flooding mechanic? 8.1 alone will reduce flooding dmg significantly... I don't understand your "balancing" team because almost everything they do makes no fking sense and it's really annoying to sit there after every hotfix/patch scratching your head and trying to understand wtf is going on over there in Russia! Maybe you finally give an answer because looking at 8.1 I'd have expected that you would increase all torp flooding chances...

 

On top you lower ALL air detection range by 20%? So instead of going for the ships which got hit by the old 11km plane spotting range (meaning BBs and CVs) you buff all ships?

Excellent news.

 

Playing DD's and losing half of your hit points due to rocket attacks is ridiculous and I'm pleased you are addressing this issue with this patch.

 

Also good to see you are reducing their spotting power as well.

 

Hopefully the ones among us who want to play World of Warships can now get back to playing the game again and having fun.

 

I hope this is a great patch.

its bugged. almost all ships actually shoot AA 0.5-1km beyond their supposed max AA range.

 

it is already the case that just finding the position of a neptune/minotaur costs about 1 plane from the squad while using boost to escape them.

soon we will be WELL within their effective AA kill range and lose half or all of the squad before we are able to boost the planes out of their range.

 

I dont think its a bug, more like working as intended imo.

Flak is aiming infront of your path, even when its outside the range of the AA. But only when you are inside of the AA range, otherwise it wont shoot ofc.

 

And how about, dont rush mindlessly ahead if there is a Mino in the enemy team? :cap_hmm:

Other ships have to check what enemies are on the enemy team aswell, why shouldnt CVs? Either spot more carefully, or wait a little bit longer.

 

But whom I to tell you anything - according to you im not playing CVs, so probably just forget what i told you :Smile_teethhappy:

A) Maybe you should look the numbers ingame to understand.

B) If that doesnt help you: 7,3 > 6,9. If you think im wrong, Edited.

C) Maybe you should actually play Minotaur to understand, how AA works.

D) Its clear anyway, that you havent understand how flak works. It is NOT a bug. This is how its suppose to work. Dont you understand, there is a delay between shooting the flak and hitting the plane?

 

You really lean yourself pretty far out of the window, telling somewho - WHO ACTUALLY PLAYS CVs - he doesnt know what he is talking about - WHILE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT !!!!

Can't tell you from my experience in 0.8.0.2 ... last time I have played was 0.8.0 and I got chunked for 6k easily by a Haku. I have seen a video or stream recently (don't know who was playing) were the player did 3-8k on consecutive strikes ....

Dear WG...I was one of the first to write to u about the problems that DD's have from update 0.8.0.

BUT PLS dont go to the opposite direction...dont nerf everything...dont kill your own child.

Yes DD's have many problems from attack planes anf the changes at 0.8.0.3 solve some of them.

BUT..in the same time:

DD captains have a vengeance behavior in their play.

8 to 10 times (in battles that i dont survive) 1..2...or 3 DD pass through the defence line with only purpose to kill carriers.They do nothing else of their role.Just hunt the "evil"carrier.

And when a dd come close to a carrier,he won u know...(at least at TIER 6 --Ryujo --cant do anything).

SO...make this changes  to buff the DD's role but  pls give to carriers manual control and far better secondaries,so dd captains do their job

consider twice before hunt carriers and dont be--THEM now-- "O.P"revenge angels!

I have unlocked almost everything...i m DD capatian...BB captain and i m tryiing to be a good CV captain now

I love all ship types and i want a battle define in skills (and little luck maybe) and not from O.P ship type.

BTW..what about the invulnerability of ALL tier U.S cruisers in air attack?Practically a "last hope"Cleveland easy win a battle against 2 Cv's!!!

the "mighty"DES MOINES in invulnerable to EVERYTHING...surface ships...carriers...Empire T-fighters...Xwings...Kligons...romulans...ships from outer space...everything!!

Do something..this is rediculous!!

WarGaming, you can frankly go [edited]yourself. It was clear from a long time ago, that you had no idea what to do with the carriers and you show it time and again with these HotNerfs since 0.8.0. You just do not know what the hell you are doing at all! Whoever is at the helm in that studio of yours, commanding the devs to do this [edited], should be axed, as he clearly has no understanding whatsoever, about carriers.

 

T8 CVs were in a bad spot, they are completely dead now, thanks to the spotting nerf. T10 CVs aren't off much better either, given they are always going to get their planes swatted out of the sky now, thanks to this idiotic nerf.

Attack Planes might as well be completely removed now as well. They are already useless against anything except DDs, as not only do they deal miniscule damage, but they can't even set fires reliably, so the only target that you could use them against at all and get some use out of them, were DDs. You are now completely incapable of spotting a DD yourself and aiming at all, which was already pretty darn hard for some combinations. But for good measure, you idiots decide to also nerf the aiming on top of the spotting change. What the hell are we supposed to do with attack aircraft now?! Why are they even left in the game? They do nothing but feed plane-kills to the enemy team now. What the [edited]!?

 

What the [edited]is going on in your development studio?!

Mighty DM/Salem... invulnerable to BB AP? :cap_haloween: Basicly last month... the more noticeable once, and i didnt play a lot of games.

I really like shooting them, they are so squishy :fish_haloween:

well, maybe he should? Ever considered that? You have a team for that. You can spot a DD for them. If your team is incompetent, well then you should suffer the consequence, as harsh as that may sound. Other classes are suffering the same way :fish_book:

Sad to see Cvs being hammered yet again , also starting to see less and less Cvs in matches , if WG keep up with all these nerfs then the CV playerbase will be back to hardly anyone , and since WG whole reason for the re work of CVs was to increase players using them it seems extremely counter intuitive to constantly nerf them to a point where no one wants to play them.

 

Another poorly thought out update unfortunately

I was and somewhat still is a huge supporter of the carrier rework, but I'm clearly getting disappointed due the direction this balancing issue went.

My hope was the Wargaming found a new recipe for integrating arcade CVs into the game in such way that the ships class roles and main functions remains logical and balanced.

This has not been achieved.

 

And as many propagated during the testing phases the main root cause for balancing is structural / conceptual: the simple fact that the AA system is an interaction between a human and a statistical mathematical formula. No matter what you do in fine tuning the problem will remain and shows its face somewhere.

 

plus the HAKU nerf was so devastating, I almost see no HAKU in game just MIDWAYs.... pfff.

Maybe they realized you cant piss off majority of non-CV players in the process? And having mostly CV players simply wouldnt work...

Sad truth is, Players will only keep on playing CVs if they have some kinda advantage, that basicly includes striking where you want and when you want, otherwise its boring and repetetive gameplay... ive said so multiple times by now, and i stand by it.

The concept and what WG wanted to achieve doesnt fit together. They can have a low influence class which nobody wants to play, or something which is straight up bad for the game and pure fun, then they would have their desired playerbase. But imo it doesnt work together.

Sure you could nerf both damage and AA so hard that basicly nothing could stop you, but at the same time your damage output would be very low aswell, so im not sure if that would be considered fun?

Actually YES reopen the free respec for Captains and Upgrade without cost, as long as you turn life into a PTS server. Seriously as long as you make such massives nerfes and buffs you should give the players some room to explore.

Ye i think im gonna leave CV's again for the time being ... im an average to good player getting between 80K to 150K in my midway but i find that i can do more damage and help my team way more in any other ship class on the current version ... right now i would say i have to work 3 times harder in a CV just to keep up with other ships i use be it economically, damage or game influence its just not able to compete with other ship classes and they plan to continue nerfing the class seems like a wast of time on WG part to put out a years worth of work and dev time then make them so hard to use effectively that the average player would not want to ... had about 16 games today and lost only 5 of them 3 were in midway (the only times i used her today) 2 were in BB were CV was not present and all friendly DD's got them selves killed leave enemy DD's to freely torp all renaming allied ships .... the way i see it is before the rework hit a game would be decided by what team had the most skilled DD's and i have always seen (Even as a DD player) that the CV would be the natural counter to DD and there ability to often delete full health ships from stealth with just as little risk to them as old RTS CV's could. this seems a little back word since CV players on EU are already dropping back to the number that were before rework ... CV needs some love or WG risk failing the main reason they reworked the class

I'm no fan of the CV rework I admit, but, even I thought the claw hammer nerfs were harsh (and at the same time hilariously funny).

 

Might I suggest Wargaming, you as a responsible employer might introduce drink and drug testing for your staff? Oh and ban all forms of glue from your offices to (you never know, they maybe into solvent abuse).

world of warships?    or world of arcade plane fighting?

cvs in this game IF ANY, should be bots, like fortesses or cargos. 

in a game of SHIPS, where you cant even have manual secondaries, all that effort going to create an arcade  crap for cv lovers,

while the actual SHIPS are so broken. 

Why dont you send cv players to world of warplanes, a game i enjoyed at the time... BUT I PREFER SHIPS, and so does the WOWS player base.

If we were feeling like football, we´d be playing some football game, right?

what´s next....ufos?   well, you can play those in world of warplanes too!

i am playin per week the games i used to play per day.  And dropping,

actually i got to realize how much time i was spending in this awesome game with an awesome atmosphere

an how much i am doing with my life since they screwed the game. So im glad they are helplessly ruining the game.

Soon i wont be wasting my time trying to keep up with ship specs and game dinamics, playng along with the most toxic people on the web.

T8 Cv are mostly useless atm. as they are mostly in T10 matches, and then they get nerved again?

WG, this is the most stupid decision i ever seen!

Who makes this changes, an ape which is randomly chosen cards on which are the things that can be changed?

I supported the change of CV play and started to play them.

I also played them after you nerved them and i thought the next patch will tone down the aa of some ships, but now you nerved the entire cv play to uselessnes...

Now i stop playing cv anymore, and also stop spending money for this game, enough is enough!
