Main reason they reworked CVs was spotting ability on DDs. After rework they are nerfing CV's because of too much spotting on DDs. Whole rework is a bullsh*t.

I have one year of premium but i'm not play this game. Is not funny anymore and totally broken.

I just got my tier VIII IJN rocket planes obliterated by a Grozovoi that came out of nowhere.

 

Really tired of being uptiered and now having to face DDs that just sgow up magically.

The whole discussion is going totally the wrong direction;

 

It's not the fault of the DD players.  

 

First WG clamed they would balance the game based on facts that they would have on their 'data'. 

Now with the last update (what I self also describe as too much 'nerf' for the CV's) it's by WG based on the remarks that players had on the update's. (We've listened to the community)

That's verry easy now from WG to put the responsibility to a class or a part of the game community, like the DD players. 

 

It is not our fault (I'm a DD player), it's the responsibility of WG self and the developpers team and the already 3 times 'hotfix' to try to balance the gamemechanics. 

 

I as DD player could addapt the new playstyle from the CV's also. I even like it, it gives me more opportunities as DD player. And like I wrote before;  Yes, I can get taken out by a CV player in the game. I don't have any problems with it like I self  don't have problems to take another DD out with 1 torp, what causes the same damage to that DD.

 

It is up to WG now what the long term or expectations they wish to achieve are and too carrefully look at the gamemechanics and see what influence they can have on the game. That's not our part of it. 

 

But if it gonna end up that 1 class of the gamers (DD players) has to hold responsible for what WG does to the class of CV players, I can't accept neither.

Why is WG always one way or the other with balancing. I just feel that after patch 0.8.0.1 carriers where having a pretty rough time of it as it was, and now this? Something clearly needed to be done about attack squadrons against DD's. But this, this is too far. What I'm saying is WG should not, in my opinion, balance things so harshly and implement a series of incremental tweaks in order to find the correct balance among all classes in each and every tier.

I am of course aware I am a new player but from seeing the way carrier's planes are cut down by flak, it does not take an experienced player to realise this nerf was too far, and that Wg has what I would call a strange way of finding balance.

apart from F spam, which should have been obvious prior to release. takes away realism and is just console arcade.

Firstly you need a GK, secondly you need a good luck to get ever so close to DDs, thirdly the DDs must be as stupid as dumm so they dont trop you im a place where you can not avoid. To achieve that, you need a hell of luck, not balls.

Hi folks,

I think the complete rework of the CVs was quite necessary and also the patch 0.8.0.1 was necessary to balance, because after the rework the CVs was OP, but what you (WG) did afterwards with the patch 0.8.0.2 and now with 0.8.0.3 it seems to be a joke!

 

Sorry WG, but I guess the best Idea it to remove all CVs and only to focus on the balance of the other ship classes.

 

With the situation that a tier 8 CV will be ranged against tier 10 ships is a punishment and with this patches you (WG) showed us how importent it is to make the game playable for the last player of the world, who already has the opinion that Solitär is unbalanced and unfair.

 

I will again focus on playing the cruiser and battleships as far the situation is like it is today, for me the carrier are useless to play.
Yes, I could also play destroyer, but this ship class doesn't fit with my playstyle.

 

Maybe a good idea could be to rang an CV one tier above and down not more, to avoid such useless match situations, like a tier 8 CV against tier 10 ships.

 

CV Tier 10 = Matchingrange tier 9 - 10
CV Tier 8 = Matchingrange tier 7 - 9
CV Tier 6 = Matchingrange tier 5 - 7

 

Only an idea!

I just lost 2/3 of my HP on Kitakaze to the figthers of a Lexington at start of the game even with evading them ...  The player said if you are smart enough it still works like before. Good patch, useless for me at least.

 

PS: And next game again Lexington with fighters kills off 2 turrets, let's you burn, engine broken, etc. - nice patch

 

It makes absolutely no sense to play DD any longer, mostly at higher tiers above 7. If you want to hide from planes have to use your smoke which you usually need for other situations. But then in smoke you stop, so what you will get is the radar and then you are a sitting duck. If you play Harekaze with reload booster then you have no chance anyway.

Having played a few games today, the most notable change is available rocket attack time. Aiming for longer means starting attack runs earlier, only to find, that by the time the target is in reach, activation has run out. If aiming takes longer, there needs to be more time to execute. I am not going to comment on active time itself . . the idea a such is questionable, at best. Why not make heavy shells active for only 12 sec and reduce damage as well ? No more shooting across the map, no more camping. Try to sell that to BBs and talk about balance. The result would make CV player complaints seem like a warm summer breeze.

 

Every single time, not only are multiple advantages given to their adversaries, the carriers also get an extra punch in the face. Not the least little tiny effort has been made to compensate CVs for all the hardships, piled onto them. WG, if you really want to insert your barely clean man parts into your paying customers rectal sections, at least have the decency to provide some lube. 

 

As a side note:

Think of this community what you like, the strong language, of some posters, absolutely fades in comparison to what is going on in the Russian forums. Players are already threatening to visit Cyprus and set the "Lunatic Asylum" (quote) on fire. Since WG is more likely to listen to their fellow countrymen, there might be hope,

 

Fun fact:

Out of curiosity, I searched Ebay for WoWs accounts. 114 have been added last week . . cheaper than ever.  Fully researched tech trees are up for grabs for less than 200 €  Now you know why the player base isn't decreasing. There's a fool born every day, one only has to find it.

I play mostly DDs. Why were the CVs able to do so much damage to your kitakaze. They must come 3km close to you to spot you. you have quite good AA. My Kita has all the AA perks anyway because it fits the ship. CVs are my smallest problem in WoWs right now. And opposing to the majority here i play both, the DDs and the CVS, and much more DD then CV.

 

And the CVs got hurt pretty bad in those patches. DDs should just learn to adapt a tiny bit. You can't no longer rush into a cap right away. 

 

And please don't say the RTS version was better for DDs. Thats absoltuely BS. The RTS CVs were so hard on me in my DDs. They cross torped my slow IJN boats easily. You just didn't feel it that terrible because you nearly never had CVs in your games.

 

Most DDs should just calm down a bit!

WG plz give and option for selet bombs AP or HE for Hakuriu and GZ , and see remove all that [edited]incredible DMG from FLAk and Remove The dispersion from attachers DDs cant take dmg now

I had to ask my self ..

Why are the DD's crying ????

Simple ..... before the rework you saw a CV 1 in 5 games and most of the time the player were Average .. 

Now since 0.8.0 there were tones more CV's ... 1 out of 5 were CV free .

so DD's  just were not used to this and got all upset . I can understand this .. it was a shock .

I play mostly BB's but I do play all classes and love the new CV play style .. in my DD's  at first  was hard but a little thinking and a lot of dodging and it was bearable .. I took a little less in damage but after a few days settled down and it got back to normal .

since 0.8.0.2 arrived the sighting of CV's in game  ( from what I have witnessed ) fell to 1 in 3 games and then mostly only 1 CV a side ... some times I can go 4 or 5 games with no CV ( mission ... shoot down 100 planes ...... Pfft ... ) 

we all knew this would take a few patches and I hope that by the summer it will be sorted .. 

this morning . in my Gorgeous Shokaku  ... yeah I was lucky to spot anything and when I did I was in their AA range and loosing planes fast . 

I have put a few post earlier about this .. and I am Still very unhappy ... WG this is not fun any more . I found it fine for all classes after 0.8.0.2 .... yes even in my DD's . . . 

I am a average ish player who just loves the game ... I am in it for fun and not the Stats .

Wow, played 9 games tonight and made about 90 torp hits and 2600 damage on average in my midway....

Was 1v1 with an Alsace with 15000 HP left and hit with all 6 torps, did i kill him........🤔, no he lived, 3700 HP left and we lost the game.😢

 

Dont understand why BBs even bother to turn into torps to avoid them when 6 torps does less damage Than ONE shima torp.

 

think WG hit the CVs with a to big nerf ”hammer” this time.

BUT i dont think this will be the last nerf or buff will see until they think its good, and hope they get it right fast before its all to late to salvage this sinking ship😢😔

The way CV have been reworked really isn't professional. Fact is playing CVs is now very frustrating, which is exactly what PLAYers who are here to PLAY don't want. It looks better than before, but that's all.

 

What WG seems to miss there is that aircraft carriers changed history of naval warfare. Pearl Harbor resulted in the whole US battleship fleet sunk or damaged ; the brand-new-hi-tech Bismarck was disabled by slow biplanes ; the unsinkable Yamato was helpless against a swarm of 300 angry warbirds.

 

People expect CVs to be powerful. Especially if you feature legendary airplanes like the the Helldiver or the B5N Kate. Its ridiculous and sad to watch flights of those blasted 3 seconds.

 

About fighters and destroyers, one word : rockets. Forget those and leave them with light bombs and machineguns/cannons. Bombs are easier to evade, and guns can deal light damage (only against very light armor) over time with some realism (you can have something like an "overheat gauge" to avoid endless ammo issues).

So once again back to the Midway: I'm sorry to tell you but you guys at WG seem to have zero clue about your own game. I was watching you guys last week(?) with the balancing guy and it was really really ridiculous and most ppl who know this game because they are actually good at it felt really bad for the future of it tbh! But yea... soooo bringing Midway in line with the Haku? You realize that Hakuryu is dead for randoms, right? You outright killed her and made her on top totally unfun to play, so if you goal is to make Midway also absolutely useless you are on the right track!

MY MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS NERF IS: The TB were never an issue! Midway was always about the dot damage and the aplha dmg of the torps were a non-factor, no one cared about that BUT with 8.1 being released next week you are already nerfing flooding dmg into the ground, which will heavily impact Midway's damage potential. So i ask again: Why the hell do you change Midway's TB alpha dmg AND flooding chance right before the real nerf happens? I tbh expected more of a flooding chance buff across the board to compensate for the lack of flooding dmg and I'm telling you that as someone who has probably one of the best Midway stats across the board...

 

Maybe this time you feel the need to answer because what you are doing makes sadly absolutely no sense unless you somehow canceled the stupid flooding rework but I highly doubt that, so I really would like to get an answer on that specific topic!

I general I am supporting +1/-1 MM for all ships. It would stop creating cannon fodder in uptier games by weakest ships or less experienced players. WG denying that with silly arguments, so not implementing that have other (I guess more like business wise) background.

Whats happening right now is not even funny (again)! Where is step by step tuning plan? I absolutely supporting changes in spotting range; smart players will use that wisely while playing surface units and yet, skilled CV captain won't be much disrupted by this change. But... everything else?? Bit too much at once I think. Midway is RIP - I can say that after some try. Ok, not RIP maybe (you can still have some not-bad-type games) but I would call it "shame to play". Taking off Torpedo Squadron is rather waste of time unless you sure to be able to land at least four torps on approach and not loose most planes in process. Rocket planes are just broken. Reticle is lazy, laggy and hell-off-sensitive. Sometimes are not focusing at all while even flying straight for some reason. Preparation time? Who even get that idea? Some just literally waste his time with implementing that because initial dispersion is so big that even thinking about hitting something (less than JFK Airport) is rather funny idea and focus time long enough to give very narrow window to make decent drop. Sensitivity??? Well, I won't waste any time on this part. Basically, torpedo bombers and attack planes are very same in use: Approach -> preparation time -> fly prefect straight next 5-7 sec -> pray that you prediction was at least okish -> drop -> fly away on 8km if you wanna even think about another attack on same target (and if any planes remaining). 

I would agree on some limitations in Attack planes play style (I am also playing DD's and fell well enough how they suffers so far) but in current state I rather choose flying cow instead (simply interface, intuitive playstyle, more accurate and interesting drops!).
