Best program to use for watching replays is wows. They're saved automatically and have a default limit of 30. If you don't move them, the oldest replay after the 30th get deleted.

  1. Go to your game folder
  2. Enter "Replays" folder
  3. Use "worldofwarships.exe" to open replay files

Rightclick a replay -> select "Open with..." -> Select "WorldOfWarships.exe" and set that as default

After that you'll just need to double-click them and they'll launch just like anything else

By default 30 replays are saved, you can change this number in preferences.xml

When max replay count is reached for every 1 new replay 1 oldest replay will be deleted. Replays you save (copy) outside of the Replays folder are safe from the game deleting them, you'll have them till you yourself delete them

Not quite. You always have your last 30 replays there, it's the older ones that get deleted as a new one is added. Or maybe I just misunderstood how you meant it

That's what I meant yes, while saying that if you move the replay out of the folder it (obviously) won't get deleted. Couldn't quite word it correctly.

I installed the game via Steam. I just did a search of my computer, but I can not find " WorldOfWarships.exe " :Smile_hiding:

How do I watch a replay with the steam version of the game?

There is a Replay Tool you can use.

WoWs Replay Tool by Autospy

Autospy offer players a small WOWS "Replay Tool" utility for conveniently managing replay recording parameters without the need to install mods or manually edit the configuration file.
Options:
1. Enable or disable the recording of battle replays.
2. Select the root directory where the replay files will be saved.
3. Controlling the function of distribution of replay files to separate folders, which are called version numbers of the game.
4. Setting limits for the number of replay files or disabling this limit.
5. Association of replay files with the game application for easy launch of replay by double clicking on the file.
6. Restoring previously made settings. When new versions of the game are released, the configuration file where the replay settings are located will most likely be changed. Accordingly, each patch utility will have to run again to re-configure all the parameters. When you restart the "Replay Tool" will check for changes in the settings and offer to restore them. In this case, you can refuse and make the settings yourself.
7. The English version of the interface is activated if the user language in the operating system is different from Russian.
Interface:
replay-mod.png
Usage:
1. Download "Replay Tool" HERE.
2. Place it in the root directory of the game, for example, in C: \ Games \ World_Of_Warships .
3. Run the program and configure the desired parameters. After that, click "Apply" to save the settings or click "Exit" if you do not want to save the changes.
Recommendation : The "Replay Tool" should always be run after installing mods (modpacks). This is due to the fact that some mods (especially modpaks) can replace the configuration file in which the replay settings are stored.
The "Replay Tool" does not depend on the version of the game.

Yes.

Insert -> fast forward (multiple steps)

Delete -> fast backwards (multiple steps)

Home -> back to normal speed

There are more commands, but I cannot recall them free at the moment.

No, that just slows it down

While it's definitely more convenient this way it doesn't have to be "right" - "left" Shift and Ctrl work just fine

Free camera?

Fast forward:

  • Increase play speed (x2, x4, x8 and so on) with Insert key
    • Gradual slowing down with Delete key, going through the same speed points, can go into slow-motion aswell (x0.5, x0.25, x0.125 and so on)
  • Ctrl > can let you jump something like 30s ahead, but always let the game to load in after every jump or the replay will crash

Fast backward:

  • Technically Ctrl < for jumping 30s back, but it will just crash your replay, don't use it

Play / Stop:

  • Replay is always playing, just question of at what speed
  • Home key to jump to normal speed (x1)
  • End key to jump to minimal (nearly paused) speed (x0.01)
  • Gradually can be adjusted with Insert and Delete keys

Free camera:

  • RMB to unlock yourself from "recorded players view"
  • Ctrl Shift Backspace to enter the FreeCam which lets you to fly around detached from the ship. Comes with its own controls

  • Cool 3
