only working on the Ranger at the moment so can only talk from this ships point of view

Seems ok had a good-ish game in it... lost planes if i was stupid with them... did not lose planes if the enemy ships did some thing stupid.

only thing is had lots of torp hits.... no floodings in sight!

T6 is ok, i play those too. It's the T8's that have to face T IX-X AA that are unrewarding. These give the same results you show, but after costs -40k to -60K credits is the result. While using premium !

Now T8 being thrown in +2 tier is no populair thing for any ship.....but facting +2 tier AA is rediculous.

If Bismarck would have been so effective against biplanes ( quite a "tier" difference in technology ) as in this game it would have turned them all into a fireball. But in reality none were lost, no crew even died facinjg such a powerfull ship.

Makes you wonder how Swordfish ( tier 4 or 6 ? ) will fare against a tier 8 BB's AA in this game.....if they already can face that ship at all due to being low tier.

Well Ranger now sold... And a spanking new Lexi in port... Flooding not a problem for this beast.  (was stock apart from the rocket planes that i had upgraded)

Only thing i would say is if ships have to deal with floodings and fires lower tier they may get better skills at dealing with them at later tiers... or do you rap up the potatoes at lower tiers because they are unable to lean skills! and let the tier 8 plus games get flooded by players that just have no clue.

Bismarck would have and should have shredded the Swordfishes. Their AA was set to the wrong speed however, the germans didnt anticipate how extremely slow the Swordfish was as a plane and therefor tended to shoot way too far infront of them. Its also important to mention that the weather was extremely bad and the visibility was very low.

This is true, but they attacked other warships too with similair results.

Norway :

A total of nine German destroyers were sunk or scuttled, one of which had been bombed by Swordfish that had been launched from Warspite, without any losses experienced on the British side.

Mers-el-Kébir

Twelve Swordfish from 810 and 820 Naval Air Squadrons launched from the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal and conducted three sorties of attacks upon the anchored fleet. The torpedo attack, which crippled the French battleship Dunkerque and damaged other vessels present, demonstrated that capital ships could be effectively attacked while in harbour; it was also the first time in history that the Royal Navy had won a battle without the use of gunfire.

Taranto :

The six torpedo-armed Swordfish succeeded at heavily damaging three of the battleships. In addition, two cruisers, two destroyers and other vessels were damaged or sunk.[30] The high manoeuvrability of the Swordfish was attributed with enabling the aircraft to successfully evade intense anti-aircraft fire and deliver accurate strikes upon the Italian ships.

So i would conclude ship mounted AA wasn't all that powefull or very effective. German, French and Itialian AA failed on aircraft attacks both bombing and torpedo runs. That or the coming Swordfish should be really insane OP aircraft :-)
