Did you purchase/get any premium CV before the rework or did unlock/buy any regular cv before the rework ? Or (if you remember) could you tell us what the other 2 ships were ? To the part of your question i can answer: Kaga is a premium ship. Most likely we're dealing with a rework-artifact here. Since the 4 premium CVs were replaced if they count as "researched, but not bought" ships the massages make sense.
