All this fuzz about carriers and how they work, but not a peep about how to best use your AA. And, considering the amount of non-carrier players, that may be of much more concern to most people.

I enjoyed CVs before.

Today T4, landing 1 torp = impossible. Pick the wrong ship to attack and your planes don't make it into range the squadron gets wiped out.
Today T6, 3 Bombs, 12 Torps, 32 Rockets, 68k damage, all planes dead.
Today T10, all planes dead trying to turn to avoid black flak areas and doing about 8k damage the entire game - was so unfun and dull and boring.

To me Beta went, OP, Broke, OP, Broke, live is broke.

At Tier 10 you spend a few minutes flying to then lose all your planes. I don't see "the fun" genuinely, if you are going to massively reduce plane damage and have it so they can do multiple attack runs - then give them the HP or lower the AA so they can actually land hits.

Pretty much every other ship in the game can land shots - planes... meh. I'm sure as I learn the quirks it will get better but honestly, beta wasn't fun, this isn't fun. #sulk

After several Midway games, I genuinely give up - the highest damage I managed was 70k.
Flak - fly around, still lose the entire squadron
Land 12 rockets against a DD - do 1200 damage
Land 1 he bomb get a "penetration" does 900 damage. How is 900 damage even possible? Genuinely?

It's really annoying because you see the AP bombers taking 10-20k chunks of Battleships and my HE bombers do almost nothing.

I feel "useless", and it's no longer fun, so I'm going back to playing Battleships and not buying premium going forward because CVs counted for just under a quarter of all my games. So effectively this patch remove 25% of the game for me. Oh well.

Every ship now is building up AA defence first. That wasn't the case before this update came and why you're now seeing planes having much less chance of getting though to drop bombs/torps.

Well, the perspective has been visualised and as far as to how many players are playing:"the queues for Tier8+ randoms are empty most of the day, as in 0 players queued.

Update sucks balls. When ships Like the Worcester and Minotaur can barely shoot down any planes you know your game is broken. Also I down know what kind of promo WG is running to get new players but it also sucks. The amount of players doing dumb crap this last month and won't support or listen to the rest of their team is ridiculous. You'll get people telling you  F off when you ask for support or else they just completely ignore you. It's as if they haven't realised yet that there's an in game chat and a mini map. You expect this kinda thing in Tiers 1-3 but not at T10

In the Beta CV's were great... and AA ships were great.... loved escorting with my Atlanta being the designated AA ships for the CV's or a group of BB's.  As expected after this patch...... Carrier gameplay is complete Crap..... Battle Stations Midway.    AA ships are now Crap....   Now instead of crap we have A LOT of crap.  I have been playing since the beginning of Beta Testing and have always played in Clans, or solo or at least once a week when taking a break..... Now I will be taking a couple months off, I'm so offended by the stench of this Patch.  Funny it's for US..... the players?  We asked for this???   No, you did this for you and the CONSOLE PLAYERS that are coming online.   That is what its all about...not the computer players...the console players and we are just to like it and go along, No good sir, I will not and I hope I'm not alone.

 

Since we are on the topic and since of the dynamic change to the game, I would like to Request a REFUND on my Atlanta...since it can't do its primary job anymore worth a crap and you change basically everything about the ship that was worthwhile.

 

 

Just go all the way back to the Beta Testing and re-implement it and start over  WG...seriously...don't keep going down a dead end, washed up road....all your gonna do is get stuck.

It's utterly useless. 

With this update he whole balance of the game is ripped apart. Not just for the cv's either. 
If you want to keep players, ditch it...Very quickly !

I only play co-ops as I am handicapped with arthritic hands this patch has meant that the controls for aiming are basically impossible for me to use, 80% of games the carrier I bought Ryujo is in a Tier 8 game against US BBs and AA CCs and even these BOT enemies AA means I cant get 1 single wave thru to do any damage.

 

Please WG allow me to play CVs again, rethink this awful rework and go back to how it was where the play was balanced and fun.

Also, my beloved Arkansas Beta is now rendered obsolete, taken out of service and docked at the local naval museum. Especially in a battleship without AA, there is no hiding from carrier aircraft or out-turning their torpedoes.

your right 100% , I to am handicapped ,only have one hand ! Game builders don t give a sh*** about the handicapped . However I could do quite well with air planes in world of war planes but they changed that to a arcade mode for the smart fone kids  , So I don t play it much now  . most of my clan more or less quit !   WOW ships Now makes warships a crap version of warplanes , the planes do not respond right , target right and attack like player controlled planes and one player can t control the ship , bombers ,fighters and attackers all at the same time and have a fun time doing so .  CVs now are not what one should call fun now . I have no issues with p c game sim airplane games or real aircraft control . CV s now suck !

You have completely ruined aircraft carriers. yes it may look better but thats it and it has taken the realism of how carriers worked during the war and made it more hard and costly to play as a carrier at this point i will not be playing carriers until it goes back to how it was or spending any more money either
