The RTS mode looked dull as hell which was it's main downfall as it had substantial depth of gameplay. From what I've played on the PT, the rework really is a dumbing down of things but it is cool flying around the maps and seeing everything from a different perspective. Debatable. Saipan gets tier X planes which will make it hilarious if it gets top tier. However with a very low reserve size AND a very long respawn time it may well suffer more than the others in tier X games. I'll keep all 3 of my Prem CVs despite not really agreeing with the rework as I have absolutely no need for more doubloons. As someone who's likely to stay with IJN for various reasons - I'd gladly give them back in return for these USN double HE ones of which each has notably more damage than that single IJN AP And yes, I do know that if I manage to land a full tripple citadel I do get to SLIGHTLY surpass USN 6-HE drop's alpha. AP DBs need one specific angle of attack, meaning you need to fly through every flak bubble to get to that beyond your initial run while also predicting how your target is turning. And ofc you could just deal the same or more damage with TBs. I think the only CV that surpasses her own TB striking potential with AP DBs is Enterprise and she has her AP DBs hampered by RNG via a huge drop pattern. USN HE DBs at least can attack from pretty much every direction but with HVARs at your disposal there is really no need to use them. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The planes are hypermaneuverable so you dodge flak like nothing. The AP bombs got a ridiculous aiming speed buff and do monstrous damage against almost everything. Rocket spread is even more accurate than PTS Midway (I hit a Grozo for 7k in one attack in my last game). You're never really liable to run out of planes either due to the fast recovery speed.
