Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary.

British CVs are coming soon to World of Warships. For now they are undergoing super test and we're happy to tell you about their features.

The British CV branch will include 4 ships:

Hermes, tier IV

Furious, tier VI

Implacable, tier VIII

Audacious, tier X

The common feature of all British planes will be a large HP pool.

A generous number of bombs and an unusual way to drop them is a unique trait of British bombers. If you're able to predict your target's maneuver, you're going to inflict more damage than bombers of other nations. But because British planes aren't diving, the target has more time and chances to lessen the effect of the bombing run.

Attack aircraft carry a large number of fast rockets. As for British torpedoes, they have pretty short range, but are fast to arm and aim. This makes it possible to launch them at almost point-blank range.

Nice ... and with a little bit of luck you get 3/4 of the new tech tree ... I guess it was never that easy to 'level through' a complete line :D

HMS Herpes - 1st CV to be instaspotted when the match starts :Smile_trollface:

That thing looks so high I wouldn't be surprised if Stalingrad outspots it :cap_haloween:

Considering Kexington and Midway on PT went down with detection range from 17.5km to 15km and 18.4km to 15.4km respectively, I guess Harpies will be adjusted in similar manner:cap_book:

Honestly, that's surprisingly low. Either it's balancing magic, or that ship is smaller than it looks :Smile_veryhappy:

No Ark Royal and no Swordfish - hiw should we sink the Bismarck?

Hermes uses Fairey Swordfish for its dive bombers.

She is only 1/3 the tonnage of the Audacious, her height in the image is quite deceiving.

NO, NO, [edited]NO!

The RN early dive bomber was the [edited]Blckburn Skua!

They get a lame "level bombing" mechanic anyway *grumbles*

Level Bombing.... the most useless tactic to sink ships at sea ever attempted.. but it's a game, so the theorists theories will be made to work :)

Audacious was laid down but not completed until after the war as HMS Eagle. My dad saw her go down the slips in 1946 and also saw her being broken up at Cairnryan in 78/79.

Repeating @BLUB__BLUB, but yes, I strongly suspect this will be a premium.

The chances of Ark Royal not being a premium are roughly equivalent to my chances of becoming prima ballerina at the Bolshoi...!

Still no Indomitable, is she stuck in testing hell or just waiting for marketing?

An update would be appreciated.
