Will propabily re-implemented in a second branch later

The whole concept of a support carrier branch is dumb as hell. I could have understood them dividing carriers into light (small squadrons, fast replacements) and fleet (large squadrons, slow replacements) carriers. But carriers that have plans that cap or lay smoke? Gimme a break.

They just mentioned ideas, it's not set in stone

In my 2 years of WoWS experience, whenever they start "mentioning" things, you can take it to the bank that it will happen.

Unfortunatly somebody at WG has an attitude of "we know whats best and you will just do what we tell you" (*edited*)

I believe the number of carrier players is around 3% so to me that means people dont really want to play the class, so why screw up every other class, unless its just to prove a point maybe?

I just want to know what will happen with my Taiho……..

Credit value transfered to the account
Xp value transfered down one tier
Captain retrained to t1 ship
Mounted upgrades moved to the inventory
Consumambles, and signals/paints moved to inventory

Probably...

To the topic:
The perfect opportunity to make the CV vs CV fights fair as possible, just went out of the window, when the +2 tier CV vs CV was kept in the cardpack...  Enjoy your t6 when you have the opportunity to get 6 different T8 CV mimic on the opposite side, next to the same tier one.. Even on PT someone pushed the hell out of the "requesting fire support" button alredy in one battle...

Also: The stats for the new CVs will be starting as new individual ships? I hope so!

I love playing with aircraft carriers.
But these changes, I do not know if they will be for better or worse, we'll see, and I hope that if they do not work, they'll change it.

From what I read, I just really like this that now you can take 8 flags and little else.

Before, as CV had competition with the enemy CV, and fighter combat was essential to win the battle or eliminate the enemy CV was a great improvement.

I liked to see where the enemy came from and protect the boats on my team.

Also some personal duel between DD and CV, which were very interesting, bring good secondary weapons to be able to destroy the DD.
I do not know what will happen with these changes.

I would not have changed so many things.

Actually their whole game is their idea...

To be fair pvp and gameplay wise these ideas make sense, and this game is a lot about pvp and less about historical battles. Do you know the game "Dreadnought"? There is a support frigate which can "heal" ships. That game has same game concept so it kinda makes sense to have such kind of support class. I mean it just from the point of gameplay and pvp without considering realism and history

That is one issue. While one CV is winning the battle against the other CV, the other team will have a losing CV and will suffer from that lose hard. That's frustrating for non-CV players, who will get farmed. (If CV is top tier etc.)

If you do not fight against the other CV, people, protest, because the enemy cv attacks you.

Anyway, the biggest truth if you play CV, is that whatever you do, your team mistreats you, and if not, you mistreat the enemy team, they insult you by chat almost everyone.

One who is used to it, does not read the chat anymore, because for what, if this is full of admirals who know everything you have to do.

It's wasting time, if you pay attention to everything they say about your team and the opposing team.

With the CV that will no longer stay on tree yes... I hope that when someone decide quit them, their cammos will be erased and repaid

I think that is just a common Russian trait.

what I don't understand are the inconsistencies.

For example within the one article:

  •       a Tier IV carrier is now researched from a Tier IV destroyer, because the carriers' gameplay is closer to that of destroyers
  • Rewards for inflicting damage and destroying ships (the main purpose of this ship type), as well as for capturing, defending, and blocking key areas now correspond to those of battleships.

Con el CV que ya no permanecerá en el árbol, sí ... espero que cuando alguien decida dejarlo, sus cammos se borrarán y se pagarán.

The article does not say anything about many aspects that will affect the CV players. It seems that this whole thing is done quickly and without being finished well

And when they are going to implement this "thing" in the game. That they implant it once, that I try it and then I start to eliminate the CV.

I hope see stadistics about how many players quit all carriers tree, Before expire the grace time to quit them and convert them on free XP. Numbers can be funny... beacouse, in a few games, the new mode is really boring.

Of course, before one year from now, will see CV's on World of Warships Leyends, with that new console mode… but... WG says that this mode isn't for consoles XD (it play as a console mode… it feel as a console mode… maybe it will be a console mode), and always that a PC game, is "adepter" por console, players of PC lose playability.

I'm going to play a few games with the CV that I have in port. If the third game bores me the system, most likely, reading what will be this "thing". I delete the CV.

And as they are a bore in the games with other boats, I uninstall the game.

With what I like this game, recommending to my friends and relatives, and now they go and do this crap. They have no absolution from the gods

The amount of crybabies who are bashing CV's because they can't counter them is too damn high!

This is like the WoT arty discussion again and again "I do not know anything about cover and I demand I can camp in the same bush for the entire battle, remove the entire class!"
Git gud and give us a break!

Sorry about the non-whine post, but I only have one question.

What about the British CV's? Are they going to be released in 0.8.0? Or sometime later?

@MrConway @Crysantos @Sehales Is it going to be only free commander resets or free module demounting aswell? Clearly AA modules have changed aswell, and similarly to captain skills they could be tested & decided upon if it's worth taking them or no

I am sorry WG, but 1 week is not enough.

Specially if you intend to tweak / balance / change stuff. I do not intend to respec captains to something only to respec them again and again.

Apparently I will despec all my commanders and just forget about the game until things clear out.

I wonder what happens the CVs we already have, i mean they are removed ok, but what about premium ones, or they are just become unavaible and later on we can use them when implemented again?
