the core, fundamental od aircraftcarrier. or island??

we need CV ship without strategy? , or island starting/landing is ok for poor one squadron?

the new "CV" is actualy no CV. 

 

it is only one aircrafts squadron ( that somethimes spites fighters... )

 

cann we call , one squadron, one attack.... an AIRCRAFT CARRIER ???

 

imagine: we cann start from, one , two, or three islands. (we have airfields allready in game on islands :))

and from wide see cann squadron start simply from mapedge. 

 

cann we call it CV, when we use it only like start, land island?? 

 

the core of CV  is:

-more attack at ones

-immediate attack on some place on map

-brutal spoting with few squadrons at ones

Uhh, anyone able to translate this from "Milan" to "English"? Especially the "wide see" part?

 

Also I think @Milan_G_ believes you can launch aircraft from land-based airfields in this game... Someone has played too much operation Ultimate Frontier :Smile_trollface:

Maybe CVs can work like how they do in StarCraft?

 

Just control the ship and loads of drones get launched when you right click stuff? :cap_book:

Well, technically the new CVs are an inverse version of SC - you don't really control the ship, you control the drones :Smile_trollface:

I think he's saying that we might as well have air bases as have CVs at sea. It's not a bad idea. 

 

But yes, one squad is a CV. Escort carriers during WW2 sometimes had fewer than 10 planes.

I believe he's questioning whether the new gameplay could or should be characterized as CV's, since you for the most part only control one plane squadron, and the ship itself is largely a non-entity in the gameplay.

 

He's asking if it'd make more sense to simply sense to have the planes take off from some of the islands on the map -- since many of them already have air strips rendered anyway. With the "wide see" I think he means, in the absence of any suitable islands, simply have the planes arrive from "open sea" at a map edge.

 

This is what I think he's saying. And astonishingly ... I think the point is not a bad one.

This is not a bad idea, however it is a different game mode as it add another unmovable objective for each team to defend. Maybe something like this will come in the future.

I dislike this idea as it would make CV player unkillable.

These are the issues with current carrier gameplay that WG is trying to fix. We don't need this kind of gameplay where one player is so influential.
