How is it possible to lose a battle when all enemy ships are killed?

I was in a battle where game ended on 997 points for enemy team and all enemy ships where killed and it was defeat. Can someone explain how is this possible?

As you can see on screenshots our Stalingrad and Hindenburg finished battle alive and enemy has no ships left, but it was defeat and enemy got exp. for Victory, we got exp. for Defeat.

Server syncronisation.

The server counted to 1000 points before you sunk the last enemy, but did not show it to you in time.

Same thing seems to have happened in this match:

Watch the point counter.

The last point update should have come sooner.

They even noticed it in the video.

Ok. However, it looks weird to me. I dont know how they coded this section but it looks like the point counter / timer is right on the server side, while server receives information about kills etc from client and that information from client have a delay what is unerstandable. If the point counter / timer sits on client its dummy to update server with those informations before they are shown in the UI.

It doesn't even have to be that.

It could just be that the points gain from the caps was queued in before the point loss/default loss of match from the sinking.

If the server stops caring what happens after any victory condition is fulfilled and the 1k gets checked first, both events can happen almost simultaneously.

Point win and kill happened on the same game tick. And at that point, its only a question of which order the game checks stuff in.

Basically, every tick, the game runs through some victory checks and if any of them become true, it jumps out of the check, and into a victory screen. This match shows that it checks the points counter before kills.
