My findings when an area is saturated: AP Penetrations deal no damage. HE Penetrations deal no damage. AP Over penetrations keep dealing damage. So the first two make sense and were as expected, but the third one didn't. Over penetrations keep doing damage on a saturated area, which is a bit weird in my eyes, because penetrations, whether it is HE or AP, stop doing damage at that point. Basically it's "normal dmg" vs "light dmg" Pens = normal dmg. It's applied to the compartment hit (like bow + "hull"), and when those modules run out of HP - you can't do damage to them this way anymore Meanwhile light damage - fires, flooding, overpens (I think ramming aswell) - is applied directly to your HP pool, and that runs out only when your ship sinks Also this: Spoiler Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
