What ships are gonna be XP pinyatas for the carriers ?

Will BB:s with weak AA like Normandie, Mutsi, Ashitaka and Musashi be going down first or will the perma spotted DD:S with no AA be the big losers ?

Yeah shadowing a nice AA cruiser is already high priority when playing these BB:s in carrier games

Based on what was on the PTS and closed tests?
Everyones AA will be fairly irrelevant unless you gimp yourself with a full CV trolling spec. Other than going full AA with a AA cruiser, so far the Catapult fighters also do a good job in eating a few attacks.

So ships without a catapult fighter will be hit the hardest, would be my gues. So i gues the RN BBs might actually have a harder time than a musashi oddly enough.

Its a good ship i agree but get yourself into a carrier game and you may be in trouble

Which is rather ineffective beacause you have to be really close in the close to midrange AA cover for that to work because the CV will just dodge the longrange flak.

AA cover in random battles is a myth, even today. If AA cruisers stay with the main fleet they either:

 

a) can do exactly nothing if the battleships go for a ranged shootout because they are missing BB range. If they are nonetheless spotted by DD / planes they will be focus fired at and die first nonetheless.

b) in the rare event the the own BB fleet is actually pushing / playing the objective they can pew pew a few moments, then be focus fired at and die first.

 

And after the AA cruisers are dead the CV will drop one ship after the other as usual. Been there, seen that.

There's exceptions to that (ships like hinden etc), but in general I tend to agree. Especially the "very heavy AA" ships like wooster, DM, mino, etc have playstyles that aren't really compatible with fleet escorting.

Sorry ...this is bullcrap. Good captains can make a bad ship work anyways but only because there is so much vegetable out there.

This is not a good valuation factor. A skilled CV captain is mostly OP^^

Well not true. Good captain know weaknesses of its ships and use team to help him....If Ashik stick with 2 other BBS or with AAA cruiser, or communicate with his own CV for airp rotectiion his chances will rise
