Wargaming has decided to nerf stalingrad and kronstadt by increasing theyre fire duration! well done now balanced grad will be even easier to kill for zao, hindeburg and henry or anyone who has strong HE!

and dont even start about kronstadt that boat is FREE DAMAGE. 

so now lets get to the good question and consequences:

will kronstadt and stalingrad owners get free xp and steel refunds?

consequences: not buying any new premium ship. because you will nerf it, and you seem to forgot what happened when you nerfed Type 59 and T-26E4 SP. 

also this is non sense soviets have one of the worst ships in the game, only moskva, chapayev, buddyony and grozovoi are good. now stalingrad is food for he spammers. 

GG nerf soviets, germans.and  buff japanese , american. meanwhile in wot soviets dominate and they refuse to nerf the stupid true soviet bias IS-3A. gg once again and no more premium ships bought.

it is  BLOODY PREMIUM SHIP! they nerfed to hell type 59 and super pershing and this is considered an NERF. they said no nerfs to premium without buffs but this? this is outrageous, refunds or not not going to buy another premium ship! STALING and KRONTRASH are OP but belfast, kamikaze, giulio, nikolai, kitakaze, harugumo arent ?

Because Alaska and Azuma weren't nerfed to 60 seconds fire duration as well, oh wait...

lets compare half a million of battles to over 1,2 or even 3 millions! so by your points if a ship now has 20 battles and has 100% win rate it is OP! yeah sure!

The diference between Stanil/Kronny is they are premium ships, but, you did not directly buy them with $$$. 

Were if you were to buy them with $ then it would be a problem.

Both of those tanks were rendendered obsolete due to immense powercreep and map reforms. Superpershing got a armour redesign (buff) and also pen buff as well, type 59 got armour and gun handling and i think mobility buffs but the sub 200mm pen is still dreadful on said tank. Mind you the tiger 2 suffers far more due to it's huge size and lack of mobility.

 

Also you can't buy them from the shop so wargaming can just say 'lol they aren't in the shop so they aren't premiums'.

 

Unless they did sell them in the shop at somepoint.

Those are not released. kronstadt and stalin are and people have used money to get them, and now they nerf them? good give us refunds!

I have a Kronstadt, and I struggle to find my bottom with both hands and a map, as far as cruisers go...!

Whilst I may lack a certain je ne se quoi (omnes: "competence!") when it comes to playing this ship, I struggle to see how 15 seconds difference when it comes to fire burn time (making all the uber-cruisers consistent, as I understand it) is going to make more than a subtle difference...?

To be fair, Stalingrad only has a win rate 9% better than the next best tier 10 cruiser and less than 35k more average damage while the Kronshtadt is in second place to the Alaska (figures from wows-numbers in spoiler)!

Remember when stealth firing was removed and the Blyskawica took a major dive in popularity? The fire mechanic is changing, the premium ship isn't. Besides, both ships can be bought for free using in-game resources (steel, free xp) so the "premium ship" argument isn't quite as compelling.

First of all, Wg never said they won't ever nerf premiums. They said they wouldn't like to, but there has never been an official "won't nerf premiums" policy. Secondly, this isn't a Stalingrad specific nerf, it's something that goes for all supercruiser premiums including the Alaska, Azuma and Kronshtadt.

 

And it's the same thing as with other "nerfed" premiums, they didn't touch the ship specific characteristics at all, they changed a mechanic that happens to be shared with all supercruisers, i.e.: their fire duration. Just like they never directly nerfed the Gremyashchy or Blyskawica by removing stealthfiring, or the Belfast and Kutuzovwith the smoke mechanic changes.

 

 

And every halfway competently compiled statistic I've seen about the Stalingrad (along with my own subjective opinion) says the ship is overperforming, so it could bloody well use some adjustment and you don't have to act as if the world were ending.

you dont know anything about wot did you? are you telling me that t26 and type 59 got powercreeped back then? LOL. the more type 59 you had the better win chances where.

yes i remember but stealth firing was applied to everyone! this is a direct nerf and yes i know blyskawica was sold based on stealth firing. but changing an mechanic applies to all ships in the game.

what? are you dumb? the type 59 was never good to begin with considering it face tier 4's so it's armour could hold up and also because maps and physics werent as well developed back then.

 

Also the superpersh was never that great either especially once you knew its weakspots and it's godawful 175mm pen on a pop gun.

 

So no clearly you know sod all since, one those aren't premium ships and two both of those tanks have been overhyped to death.

wot was different in 2012))) and yes type 59 was a t-54 drooped at t8. and it was OP every pro will tell you the same thing back in the day. and watch old matches where both teams where full of type59.

you get right that they are in the same order of magnitude and that statistically speaking half a million battles is way more than you need to do comparison right? ( everything over 100k is well acceptable, and every stateman will tell you that you are very lucky if you have 100k samples)
