The things I hate the worse after the 2 tests is the firepower from some ships. You can't even get into any attack position and your whole flight has gone.  It's way OTT.

The wishy washy flight controls on the Torpedo bombers, and the aiming system 

 

 

( Please note this is FEEDBACK to the game makers. I know some will not agree. So no point saying 'well I like it'. etc. )

The other thing I don't like is

 

When I started this game at Beta you said gold would be cross game WoT WoP WoW , It's still NOT

Just mouse over the stage completion rewards of the campaign in game and you will see.

Probably, but we do not now how the CV Rework is going to end after all the adjustments they are going to do. And also, we don't know if musashi will return and also when. So even If ends up being an XP pinyata, it's an interesting ship to have.

They already are if they play against same or higher tier CVs. A well specced Essex or Midway can take out Musashi with two squads of bombers in 5 sces.

As i see it the game economy has become quite inflationary, from 750k of freeXP needed for Missouri, Musashi etc. you will need(?) 1mil for Alaska (as it is discussed, we have to see), you have access (in many modes including wallet-related ones) to steel, coal is flowing consistently and you can stockpile about 50k a month, a good battle with the right signals and camos can provide you with 20k XP (if you grind a T9 for example) and +10k of free XP. 

Bottom line, this is going to the way of an arms race where it is not enough to play the game in a dedicated manner to get the free ships, the rewards and the various goodies available. Payout options for campaigns and events are available as we speak and they should always be. 

However, noone would like this game to go down the "non-realistic" path as this can very well turn the game into a pay-to-win situation if some OP factors (either ships or game modes) are introduced in the future and as i see it the current CV rework process is a fine precursor to really mess up the game. 

 

P.S. does anyone carries out any analysis of the player base functuations after major updates, events etc.? cause 31st January ia a trully fine date to start doing so, just in case...

How strange, when I commented on a previous post a few weeks ago that WoWs should postpone the Update 0.8.0, A mod Edited/Deleted mine and a lot of other feedback comments as inappropriate. Obviously, reasonable feedback should not be read.

WG always State "We looked at your feedback" Is that after you delete comments/feedback, and then make it look like you came up with the idea?

Sad State of Affairs!! 

Maybe WoWs should postpone the whole CV/All Ships Rework until it is 100% playable. 

Give players the chance to play all of their ships on PTS with rich rewards (not a few flags and rubbish camos) for feedback and surveys, then look at the stats after each PTS, it may take months or even a year, asking the playrbase to do the testing on the live server is a massive mistake, and will lead to a ton of bad feedback/complaints and in some cases, players leaving the game.

Some interesting feedback in this thread ..

 

Please WG don't remove the fighter patrol area indicator from the minimap. It is vital to AA weak ships so they know which area they can use to "hide". That's why smoke boundary and timers were introduced to the game. To make the feature more usefull.

 

One very nice feature would be to track the HP of planes continuosly, i.e. NO RECOVERY ON LANDING !!!. Basically the plane is damaged until it is destroyed, then it gets regenerated. This way even weak AA ships have some contribution to AA defense. I'd go further and make the threshold to launch a plane 5% of the HP. So a damaged plane can still strike when in air but once it lands with less than 5% HP it is considered shot down and regenerated.

But the enemy CV also uses the indicator to avoide the fighter, without these indicators, some CVs will get maybe to greedy and will try to strike.

Also I'm not sure, but I guess you get a symbol for entering the circle just like smokes with the timer?

I suggested something similar: repair times depending on the damage.

Light damaged = 25% of flight reload time

Medium damaged = 50% of flight reload time

Heavy damaged = 75% of flight reload time

 

would be a bit weird to sent heavy damaged planes to an attack ^^

Recently,  I ve  been in battles with 2 cvs per team... twice the fun!!  

I wonder if you have a soft or a hard or a floppy limmit for that , as you suposedly did with DDs. 

i imagine next is a battle with 3 cvs per team,        ----------->    im out of here. 

The year of the Lemming train....  ??

PLEASE WG, do not screw us again and this time ALLOW cv.s on coop - we can search for better strategies against planes, we can experiment several skills for commanders, learn things, so please, put some damn cv bots on the bots team ! Last session of PT was no cv on bot team, and we get an team with 2 cvs on one side (player controlled) and no cvs on bot team.

 

Because of that we learn nothing about how to fight planes in co-op.

Please do not do the same mistake this time.

I was excited about the new ship until I realized unless you (me) owned 6 countries worth of ships it was a waste of time. why is it always the coiners that get the good stuf or at least a decent chance to get new stuff and the ppl that have to pay bills ect either are a beating post for the coiners or they quit playing...…. thw coiners already have the benefit of clans and ranked stuff but the casual players..... not so much

having played a dozen or so games on the test server , I have to say to WG , cancel the whole CV exercise , it is going to , frankly , bugger this game , and you will say goodbye to a lot of players , and their money.

 

just leave it as it is , until you can come up with a solution that the PLAYERS, your CUSTOMERS , actually want , and are happy with.

 

I am sure WG has put a lot of effort into this , but I'm sorry , this is just not what was needed.

If you guys give us manual aiming for AA guns, I will actually be happy with the rework. Skillshot drops require skillful counterplay. Otherwise we're still left with the problem that the CV is playing a PvE game while the surface ships are being punished by a real player. And to the guys saying that manouvering, aiming main guns, AND aiming AA guns is too much... no, no it's not. You will simply stop using your main guns whenever you need to defend yourself from a carrier. When you are being shot at by multiple ships what do you choose? To manouvre until you are safe, or to keep shooting? Defending yourself vs a carrier should always be a priority. Who cares that you will lose dpm for those 30 seconds that you spend using your AA guns? Staying alive based on your own skill is going to give you a lot more damage later, because you SURVIVED!!! 

Also, thanks a lot Wargaming for this delay. Take your time! We want a good rework. Not something half-done. :) Really appreciate your decision.

In all seriousness though, I'd like to congratulate the guys at WG on this postponement decision, which can't have been easy and imho shows a lot of poise.

 

Keeping my fingers crossed you get the carrier rework right; in the end, that's what is in all of our interest.

Here's my two cents.

 

I didn't start to play WoWs to play CVs so I don't care what happens to CV-play and stuff like that. I don't play CV now and I doubt I will play after the changes. The only thing I care about is that the game will be wellbalanced over all.

 

Now, what "wellbalanced" is changes from person to person and we are a alot of people playing this game. Some of us will be disapointed, some will be happy but I think most of us will be "Meh". (With CV-players only making up 3-5% of the playerbase that is.)

 

When I start playing a game, any game, I don't go looking for "Perfect". I'm happy with "Good enough" and if the game isn't "Good enough", I won't play the game. After the update I will play the game, I will try out the new CVs and I will give WG time to fix bugs and tweek the stats. I will give the community time to settle down. Then, and only then, will I decide if the game is still "Good enough"

 

If it's not, I will walk away, perhaps keep an eye on it to see if things change again and then I will testplay and reevaluate my stand on the game.

 

Time will tell.
