Do people buy Lego Star Wars models?

The answer to that is 'Yes'.

Do people sometimes buy warship model kits without realising they need more time and specialist equipment than they have?

Also 'Yes'.

(BTW, that unopened Kitakami box is 4years old, while the incomplete Shimakaze model is 3 - and yes, that is superglue residue on the Shimakaze model)

Fact of the matter is, it's much easier to build something like a Lego model because you don't need specialist equipment to hold the parts together, nor do your need to paint the damn thing.

It's also incredibly relaxing to build Lego models, you should give it a try.

Actually, I would not mind grabbing a Cobi Warspite (or Shimakaze, if they ever release one), but for the moment I'm saving up to purchase this.

I agree 100%!

Building Lego, or Cobi for that matter, is such a nice and relaxing experience and the models you get out of it can be really nice. I can recommend giving it a go to anyone who enjoyed doing it in their childhood, its still as fun - albeit very dangerous when you realize that as an adult you can buy more of it :cat_cool:

Rather buy the 1/350 Trumpeter kit and build it at least it would look like WARSPITE , if fact I could get the wood deck kit and the photo-etch kit as well and still have change than buy the cheep version of lego who brikes need super gluing together
