I still kinda feel like a newbie, so please excuse my post about a T9 ship.

I am seriously struggling with this ship. Any turn is punished with massive damage. The radar option is pointless in ranked as without smoke I am totally dead. My captain is still in training though so I guess that does not help, but still...I need so much support and mega positioning...its like a situational ship that cant even fire unless everything is spot on!

Help! I watched Flamu etc. Even he said it is a dubious ship. Maybe in a good team it could be good but....random battles....

Getting a bit more used to it. The maps I've had have helped though where I can sneak in and use decent concealment to do sneak attacks with a lot of GB AP.

few games i played in it i go to a flank and kite , use it as a torp ship vs "Pushing enemies" , and if one over extends (usaully to angle against your middle cap allies exposing broadside) i smoke up and daka

or try and support dd's but going middle in it is usually not the best idea

Had quite good results in it but it requires a team that didn't underwent a lobotomy surgery

You should wait for enemy mistakes in that ship ,and never overextend yourself

I dont play Neptune myself, however what I've heard is exactly what Ysterpyp explained above.

Support is the way to go in Neptune, and never go in middle, and definiately not as the first front-line ship. Instead, use your concealment, hide behind smokes/islands, and wait for the enemy to make a mistake, and then give 'em what they deserve!

Mastering a ship can take some time. But once its done, its totally worth it. Hope she will show her potential to you soon. :cap_rambo:

If you feel like a newbie, you should not be playing Tier 9.

It really is that simple.

You might be forgiven somewhat for doing it in a premium ship to grind credits, but Neptune will of course not even do that for you.

Listen to the Flambass.

(relevant passage starts around 12:00)
