Silvercat18 Beta Tester 273 posts 4,109 battles Report post #1 Posted April 18, 2015 As long time players of World of Tanks will know, the TOG2* tank was a valuable source of humour in any game it appeared in. It was a silly shape, ponderously slow and prone to getting stuck in areas of strange terrain. We also had a variety of French tanks that looked a lot like a rubber duck, one that had a barn instead of a turret and some Russian tanks that looked like pancakes. Humour is important, even in a game like World of Warships, so I ask those wise in the ways of naval history - What ships could be included in the game that are genuinely entertaining or silly that can lighten our day during play? To start the ball rolling, here is a picture of the I-400 - why just have ordinary Japanese aircraft carriers when you can have one that's also a submarine!

It's just that it sits on a big pile of, I don't even know what to call it. Look at it on the bright side. You can allways use it to block a street or bridge. Heck maybe even two considering the size.

Jack_Varus Beta Tester 44 posts 2,519 battles Report post #18 Posted April 18, 2015 I would agree that the monitors would be a good choice. Slow, BB like HP pools and one very big gun. They'd only work at very low tiers though because they would be no match for, well, anything really. Apart from a coastal emplacement with guns too small to fire back, which is what they were designed to shoot at. The Lord Clive would be ridiculous. One main armament of an 18 inch gun and a secondary AI 12 inch turret While not as insane as the M class submarine's 12 inch gun, there is always the Surcouf French submarine with two 8 inch guns, some AA and an external torpedo launcher (as well as internally mounted ones). Just play them as standard ships. Who knows what they will do. They did do football, race, 8.bit and much more in WoT.

Actually thinking about it: the Corageus class large light cruisers are pretty TOG-gy, especially the HMS Furious which would have originally gotten the Lord Clive's 18" guns. HMS Corageus before CV refit: Displacement: 22.000 tons Lenght: 240 meters Armor: belt up to 3", deck up to 3" Armament: 2x dual 15" guns

Qipchak Beta Tester 114 posts 1,151 battles Report post #25 Posted April 19, 2015 I hope WG will make some "Cruiser submarine" as premium ship. Its like a light cruiser with few guns, low profile. Give them smoke too. K-Class, Surcouf, SM U 139, or similiar. 2-4 cannons for playability needed.
