Why is there a limit to a battleship in Clan Wars and there is no limit for the Stalingrads?
What can not be is that you meet a team with 7 Stalingrados ????

and if not they play alone to the clan wars!

Nobody is perfect. Some people do not know how to do a proper team setup.

There is a reason why topteams do not use 7 Stalingrads.....

There won't be one because Wargaming classifies all cruiser types as the same type of warship when in reality there are many, many different cruiser types. Some examples are scout cruisers, protected cruisers, armoured cruisers, light cruisers, heavy cruisers, large cruisers, destroyer group leaders may also be classed as cruisers dependent on nation as well. Large cruisers such as Stalingrad should not be classed as such, they are Battlecruisers. The only nation that ever classed Stalingrad, Alaska etc. as 'Large Cruisers' was the USA, every other nation classed them as Battlecruisers.

Quoted from the Wiki:

The Stalingrad-class battlecruiser, also known as Project 82 (Russian: Тяжёлые крейсера проекта 82), was a Soviet battlecruiser design from 1941.

To add to this, we actually do have some battlecruisers in game (though they are modernized to their Fast Battleship levels except for Hood) that are classed as battleships. Furthermore, Stalingrads would have weighed around 42,500 tons at full load, that's only 2000 tons shy of a Bismarck, and more than double that of a Des Moines, the heaviest cruiser in game that actually existed.

Playing with 7 Staligrad is not fair play and if WG allows that, my clan will stop playing Clan Wars.

When the OP 268-4 came out in WoT, many clans agreed not to use it in CW because it was so broken.

Then remove limit for BB, and we play with 7 BBs??

I mean you are citing the only shipclass, that has a limit in CB, to form that argument for a Cruiser. Hm. Why dont you want to limit the number of, lets say, Zaos?

And what about Harugumos? Worcesters? Let me just tell you this: Its much harder to deal with 7 Harugumos then with 7 Stalingrads. You have just been trolled by good players. Do you think, you chances of winning would have been better, if they´d had a different setup? Seriously?

And If you think, thats what they do all the time, I can tell you from first hand: its not their normal setup (in case we really talk about 5D).

Something that need to be clarified: Russians also called their "so called" battlecruisers "cruiser". They don't have the Battlecruiser category.

For your wiki-quot, Russian "Тяжёлые крейсера проекта 82" means "Heavy cruiser project 82" in English, so you can see how they classify this ship.

That would explain the Russian company's way of classifying a 42,500 ton behemoth in the same class as 19th Century armoured cruisers then. :Smile_facepalm:

  • BB tank better and can overmatch cruiser armor
  • other ships are stealthier
  • if you cannot flank, other ships have better dpm

Your not gonna win here mate.

They are OP.  Always have been and always will be.

Putting a Battlecrusier in a game full of cruisers (CB) is stupid, but it makes money for WG, so expect nothing to change.

Every streamer says so, many of my own clans mates say so and so do i.

Your are about the 15th person to bring it up but will fall on deaf ears.

It is pretty boring, just at pushed at full speed. Not particularly fair but 1 game for amusement isn't the end of the world. We tend to do stupid line ups in both bravo and alpha as the season goes on to keep things interesting. I doubt you will see 7 Stalingrads often!

To be honest I think reward ships should be restricted to be used in Hurricane league only. All the good clans end up there eventually. But they need to get there by playing the same ships as everybody else. This way all clans starts on even footing.
