Everything works but over the last 3 to 4 weeks my video card is working too much on the port screen. (running at 50% load in the game works 90% on the port screen)

So you just been playing the last 3-4 weeks? Because it has been so since "launch".

Dude!!!!! I've been playing for 2 years. I would never hear a fan sound in this game before. rx580 also tried with the same situation.

Yes, I have the same issue.
Can't even let the game run in background (on windowed full screen) as it would melt my graphics card eventually.

Same too. Are there any people who have a similar problem and who can find solutions?

Yes I to have this problem. The only thing that helped was to install and use the Black Hole port from Aslains mod pack. GPU still runs too high but it has helped with the overall temperature of my laptop. The fan does not go nuts as often.

There are three possibilites:

1. The game tries to render the 3d scene in port with unlimited fps.

2. The 3d rendering of the port is super inneficient.

3. Wargaming is using our gpus to mine bitcoins.

I think 1 or 2.... if it was 3 then there would be activity even when the client is minimised.... :p

It does work it hard though..... I'm running a 1080ti and it gets up to 70' C just running the port....

I guess, WG no longer wants us to spend time on the port. I have used 1050 ti, rx 580 and gtx 1070 respectively for 1 year. I didn't hear any fan noise until in the last 1 month.

I don't want to install a mod, but if I don't find a solution, I'll try. :cap_like:

Forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but you do understand hardware deteriorates over time right?

But if you guess WG "does not want us to spend time in port", I have a few tin foin hats and a red bridge for sale, let me know.

Should I be worried? I have a fanless video card (passive cooled 1050).

Passive cooling and high loads for long times never exactly go well together. Id suggest downloading some temperature measuring tool and check what temp that gpu gets to. Anywhere under 90 degrees should be fine

I have had this problem for ages.

Changing the port to the empty one (kind of looks like the ocean map) so it's just your ship and the sea, helps a lot

GTX 960

1600x1200

in port

45% with MSAA turned off

63% with MSAA x 8

I assume that with higher resolution the load would be higher ;-) Anyway this MSI is silent, becouse fan is kicking in when temperature is >60 celsius.
