My impression for a Russian Battleship line if added to World of Warships. Tier 3-4 were built and in service, 5-6 were ships that were transferred to the Soviet Union during WW2 or post war, 7-10 are projects that didn't materialise or never finished construction.

Tier 3 Sevastopol (Gangut Class Battleship (WW1)). The first completed ship of Russia's first class of Dreadnought battleships and sister ship to Oktyabryskaya Revolutsiya (October Revolution). Commissioned: 1915.

GOOD TO KNOW THAT 5 OF THESE SHIPS I PUT IN THIS SHIP LINE WILL BE IN WG'S SOVIET BB LINE!!

Gangut is Tier 4 on WG's line.

Borodino/Izmail is Tier 6 on WG's line.

Project 21 is still in Tier 8 but as a Premium on WG's line.

Project 23 is Tier 9 on both mine and WG's line.

Project 24 is Tier 10 on both mine and WG's line.

I may be mis-reading, but isn't the T5 version post-refit, and the proposal above the original 'as built'?

true, but thats still a 12x305mm broadside. That... doesn't work at T3, unless you make literally everything else suck completely, along the lines of a 40s reload or thereabouts...

The Tier 5 is post Refit. The Tier 3 is what the ships looked like before this refit.

Where did you find this data ?

According too all sources I could find regarding project 24 :

It'd have been 282m long

it should have reached 30kn of speed

it was to equip an armament of 3*3 406, 12*2 130, and about 50 barrels of 45mm and 50 barrels of 25mm

Your data is radically different, especially in armament. Could you give a source so I can compare ?

Similarly, I am curious regarding this data.

According to the following table :

p0011.png

In which the first two variants of project 21 are the first two columns :

-The battleship was to be equipped with secondary armament of either 4*3 152, 6*2 100 & 9*4 37, or 4*2 155, 7*2 100 & 13*2 37.

-It was meant for a speed or about 30kn

-Also when looking at your stats, I doubt it was to have a draught of 30+m... or anything for that matter xD

Armament disparities also appear in your description of Sovetsky Soyuz Project 23, where you indicated 3*2 152mm, while I find 6*2 when looking it up. Same goes for 100mm guns. I believe the mistake is cause you believed 6 was the number of barrels, as in "six guns spread between double turrets" but then your 10*' 37mm seems not to have that symptom so...

Besides, you can see the secondary turrets on the drawing you put. May aswell count them.

Rusian battleships, or paper projects for that matters, are a real mess. I hope you keep your sources ordered, otherwise, it's real easy to get lost xD

I'll pass on posting the 4x4 16 inch gun super nikolai since i posted it so many times, i dont want to spam that thing, so i'll post the link to the site where i found it at. :Smile_Default:

However here is a site with a few rusky BB projects(and that monster) proposed for the navy that i think you might find interesting.

http://www.gwpda.org/naval/irn16bb.htm

:Smile_honoring:

Highly recomended to take 5 minutes of your time and have a look.

One of the thing's i found hillarious is the first one had aromured funnels :Smile_teethhappy:

Ah yeah, OR isn't already decent at T5. Nikolai isn't already OP at T4. We need such a monstrosity at T3 now.

Also, what better way to fill T5 than to take the most OP T5 and give it a Russian refit?

Meanwhile T7 is basically on the level of a Fuso. Honestly, this so unbalanced, even WG would notice it within half a year of release.

And the gimmick they will have will be a consumable that was tested during halloween.
Ladies and gentelman pick your poison:
- 15 km radar
or
- consumable that improves your sigma a lot

I hope I am wrong.

Given that apart from Ganguts and unfinished Sovietski Sojus along with two foreign ships there are no real ships they can very well just do a line of Rasputins. Nobody will see the difference

However if there will be a Sigma-boost for these ships it might turn out disastrous. Reload booster was already pushing the boundaries (although I proposed that consumable for the British Battlecruisers myself which would be balanced through bad survivability) - but a Sigma booster is a terrible terrible idea!!!!

No, but they will have best shell velocity and pen angle, and best armor. Stalingrad-like.

Because Soviet Navy was stronk and glorious, comrades.

Well Imperatritsa Mariya class and Gangut class were both built and could be used for T3 and T4. Borodino class battlecruiser was in process of building and it could be used for T5/T6 depending on how it is balanced. So far you have a natural progress from 305mm to 356mm with similar ship characteristics. There were several similar designs that could be used for T6 & T7 ships. Majority of them were armed with 406mm, only difference is number of them, 9 or 12 guns. Sovetsky Soyuz class could be used for T9 and T10 with different guns. Not sure which one would be used for T8.

While lacking ships that served there were enough ship in process of building and proposal to create a solid BB line. Beside Italians, Soviet Navy is the last one which could offer complete BB line. Pan American and Pan European could give half line but I doubt there is many if any project that could be use for high tiers.

Now you can go and blame WG for not reflecting such puny traits as breakdowns, gun barrel wear, seakeeping and whatnot, all for Bussian Rias

I am pretty sure, WG will use a dreadnought version of Andrei Pervozvanny, like they already did with Turenne, that is a redesigned Danton.

I highly doubt, that WG would dare, to set a 12 Gun battleship with 24 knots top speed at tier 3. The first austrian dreadnought is tier 4, the first french one is. Some nations started later, so their first ships are naturally different.

Also, we know how well König Albert worked at Tier 3. We have completely different ship generations, and to balance Gangut, she would have to be atrocious to play.

I'm not going to lie when i say i am worried about Russian Battleships entering this game.

Tanky, Hard hitting rail guns that are Op. Even though they didn't do a thing during the war.

Like the IS3 or Russian line in WT that destroyed the game.
