If four-week-schedule is still in place: next week.

Is it possible to switch current WG Premium Account to Warships Premium Account through support? I have pretty much abandoned WoT and WoWP and only play WoWS so it would suit me better to switch my premium account to this new Warships Premium Account.

Can @MrConway confirm is this possible to do through support site?

Just read and understand the article: You will be granted Warships-Premium with next update in the same amount as you have premium yet - and this for free.

I somewhat agree with the analysis of the Warships PODCAST guys on the subject that the Wargaming hidden agenda behind the change is to try to separate the games from each other so the different game managers (remember that Warships developers are not the Tank developers) can have more freedom in deciding on promotion efforts and prizes inside their "own" game, without upsetting the balance of another game that is cross connected....

Overall this is a step to separate Warships even farther away from the common economy of Wargaming's other titles - just remember the early day promise for FreeXP share :)))

It is bad as I was able to visualize the future in which the Global Map concept of Wargaming gets extended to all games: WoT players compete on land, WoWs players provide the supply lines for landing and WoWP players provide air cover for both :) would have been a nice global max MMO :)

This is not a hidden agenda, but one of the goals of this feature. Having a separate premium time option allows us more freedom to operate the product without affecting others, including being able to use PA as compensation, reward option or offer better discounts on it.

This also does not break your dream of a common Global Map, though its still an unlikely path for us to take.

I may have been a bit misleading, but what I meant is that the "one game only" Prem Account should be cheaper by 10% AND having to provide the 15% more XP bonus.

I say this this because while the in-game economy benefit increases the value for the "one game only" prem the real benefit for Wargaming is that they do not need to split up the real life $$$ revenue among the developer companies (profit sharing), therefore the "gain" fully stays in Wargaming's pocket at the "cost" of creating an XP in-game economy inflation only that mostly will generate even more revenue through EliteXP-->FreeXP conversion.

Do not get me wrong, I have nothing against Wargaming's profit generation strategy, I just wanted to clarify that for a finance minded person the reasoning of this new account type is not the best to "believe in".

I don't know what you mean by "split the revenue among the developer companies" - all development on World of Warships is done by Wargaming St Petersburg, who are part of Wargaming.net. There are no publisher - developer relations here, at least not in the same way you might know from other studios. We're all in the same boat here.

My assumption related to profit sharing comes from the basis that Warships was originally developed in cooperation between Lesta Studios and Wargaming, whereas Wargaming was developing for example World of Tanks on its own (and many years ago acquired the company "BigWorld" that supposedly developed the server engine behind the product.)

Obviously I cannot have a full and complete understanding of Wargaming's corporate structure but it appeared to me that there is still a cooperation between Lesta and Wargaming for Warships. Only if this assumption holds true it is correct to say that from the financial point of view Wargaming needs to share it's revenue or profit with another company who is involved in Warships but not involved in Tanks or other games... ...so comes my assumption on sharing more (or less) regarding $$$ value of premium time purchased by customers...

I see your point. Lesta Studio is currently fully owned by Wargaming, so while there is of course separate reporting internally, there is no "profit sharing" in the sense you are implying.

I hope we will get the choice of premium accounts when buying with Doubloons.

I don't want to be only able to only buy Warships premium time with them.

Don't see any thing on this any where.

Seems to me that this move penalises players that play other Wargaming games.

I play WoT and WoW.

I normally buy my premium time on WoT.

But now you want me to get separate WoW premium time, just to get 15% more XP.

This is clearly unfair to players with just Wargaming premium time.

Playing only World of Warships? Well, we have something special for you!

Reading the first section.... THAT confused me.. Did you guys also add better Credit gain too, like I suggested or is this a typo??

Premium Account is an integral part of the Wargaming universe.
Having Premium Account enables you to progress through the game and scale new heights within it more quickly, by providing more credits and XP.

There isn't a way for Experience to influence Credit gain that I know of to say you earn more with this new Premium Experience system..
Anyone that can shed some light on this? (Either to educate me or correct me)

Why don't you make premium account exclusive that would be multiplied by others premium accounts

Or alternatively, give those who buy global PA a proportionate discount on WoWS PA.

Now I feel like I was penalised all this time by not playing WoT and WoP, but paying for useless for premium in these games as clearly they could offer better value for money premium account for one game only. You can just carry on as before. I will have to live knowing I was conned :Smile_trollface:

One big family, eh?
The competition between the revenues of the departments is the only thing that matters, when it comes down to it. We're talking corporate level business here.

But I appreciate your sentiment.

I want to know why gold is shared by both WoT and WoWP.

IE if u buy gold in WoWP, u can use it in WoT.

But doubloons on WoW are not shared.

really think this is silly as I play the other games a fair bit (tanks at least) and when I play warships my xp gains are high enough per game that 15% isn't really that big of a deal with all good flags and bonuses your first game can bring in around  10k xp so why would I bother using that option I mean warships is the EASIEST of the games to get xp and credits in there is no need for that 15% and a loss of the unified account option

just seems the games are all being separated more and more from the beginning when they said all 3 games would use the same accounts and currency
