Co-Op Player - Got the Yamato, could get Musashi from Arsenal for Coal or save for Jean Bart - Which to choose?

Do yourself a favor and do not buy BB for co-op. I'm a co-op main, and I barely play BBs anymore. 4-5 minute battles on average, first two minutes you can't shoot at anything, nothing is spotted. After that, you have 2-3 minutes to do something in the DD-fiesta, where everyone running, charging in for more torp-damage farming. If you are lucky, you can fire 5-6 full salvos, if you are extremely lucky, can hit one or two citadels here and there, but yeah. Very-very underwhelming to play BBs (and CVs) in co-op these days. *edited* RNG to that, and you get the idea. 30k damage battles constantly with Bismarck, barely doing more with Missouri, absolutely atrocious. (No, i'm not "sniping" from the back, i'm charging full speed ahead, but try to keep up with DDs...) If you don't have the Salem yet, buy that instead, or wait for another coal cruiser or destroyer. At least that is what i would do.

Play at night, when nobody plays Co-Op anymore. I break 200k with Missouri all the time in that environment (you might lose from time to time tho)

Erm... since it even makes profit when you lose, and silver BBs wont even turn a profit without putting real money for a permanent coma in (and even THEN, the maintance fee is higher) when you win, that IS doing awesome from an economy PoV...

Not my problem that you didnt manage to score anywhere close to 2 of my 6 Missouri games. My other was 202k. Didnt take a screen, cuz its not that special to me. But you even tried so hard... 2k+ co-op games in BBs. And didnt break 200k. Im sorry, did I hurt your feelings?

BlackYeti is absolutly right. I lost a Musashi game, didnt have economy flags nor premium acc and still made +5000 credits. But looking at your stats, I can understand why this sounds like Magic to you.

And you base that on the 2 Musashi games you have in coop, which arent really that great to begin with...

You can earn credits on hightier premiums without using signal flags - but with IanH755 this doesnt even matter since he is using all kinda flags anyway

I agree that you can have some bad BB games where aggressive DD's wipe out lots of bot too quickly (even made a post about it last week) but I find that, for me, those games are a rarity and I usually get 100k+ games much more often than the 30k ones, in fact I think my current damage record is 282k in the Missouri. However since the start of the RN missions and the influx of PvP players into Co-Op I think its harder to get as many really good games in BB's as I would have before the PvP influx.

You cant deny the fact, that you can earn credits in coop with Musashi, while you WILL lose credits in a silver hightier BB in the same circumstances (no signals/camo/prem acc to boost credit gain) If you add all of those, Musashi will still outearn silver ships, because premiums DO earn more credits.

You saying t6 silver ship make the same profit is irrelevant. The OP didnt ask how he can earn credits in coop, it was specifically about Musashi or JB.

Feel free to look through my other posts, im usually very critical against WG and the decisions they make f.e. in order to get the players to spend more money.

Actually,  inability of a high tier premboat to out-earn mid tier silver boat signifies just how much standard coop economy is handicapped compared to every other game mode. And that the decision to pick which premium to go for should be based on personal preference alone  - which I said in my first post in this thread when I addressed the OP.

Well first Musashi game - 170K+ damage with 6 Citadels combined on a Musashi (4 for 70k inc pens) and Yamato (2 for 27k inc pens) all at around 8-10km and the "worse" sigma of the Musashi felt no worse than the Yamato at Co-Op ranges.

 

Then I broke and got the Jean Bart for Coal - 3 Kills (all Cruisers), 70k damage, forgot about the MRB and died to an Atago torp wall when I could have killed it if I'd reloaded quicker - Doh!

 

Both very strong ships so far and I'm happy I now have both but, as a silly xmas present to myself, I used the Free XP I'd been saving for the Musashi to get a Nelson instead and I bloody love it!!!!!!!

Congratz! I got the JB for coal tonight and am absolutely impressed with it, the main difference is in ammunition cost. With Musashi it is around 60k per battle, with JB around 15k. In randoms it is not a big deal but in coop economy this is huge. Plus JB shoots down alot of planes which translates into more cash and exp.
