The captain seems to have no special skills apart from his handsome rugged looks.

The ship looks like stock Colorado, but with upgraded prouplsion (thanks God for that!) and bad AA.
10x 406s on the tier 6 would be crazy, right?

The sigma is only a little bit worse 1,8, compared to 1,9. Range is a bit on the low side at 16,06 km.

What do you all think?

Yea, everyone knows the Colorado is awesome at tier 7 and would not hesitate one moment to re-buy a tier 6 version instead that's exactly the same as the tier 7 but sails 0.2 knots faster.

This, but unironically. Cololrado is awesome with it's guns IMHO.
Having the same guns a tier lower is unprecedented.

I bet this ship will be a devastator.

Yes, but the slow ones tend to cop more HE (and torpedoes).

 

We all know the US BBs have good guns but they don't become good all rounders until Tier VIII when they get better speed and mobility.. .. New Mexico and Colorado tend to struggle to get into a game, but excel at being in the wrong place, getting focused and being burnt down. WV will be no different.

Yeah, positioning is even more important in slow BBs, you have a good point there. Still, I don't think this will be a weak BB by any stretch of imagination.
The 406 on tier 6 alone are a freaking terror IMHO.

Let me introduce you to the Mutsu then, with even more terror 410mm guns

Mutsu has much worse pen than Nagato (nearly 180mm less).

West Virginia and Colorado have the exact same penetration power.

Ashitaka wants to have a word. She has Amagi's main armament at Tier 7, and fast BBs are fun.

 

And unlike Mutsu, she also uses Amagi's shells.

Just melted one with my Massachusetts. Hard to justify not spending the extra. Or you could see if you get it in a crate first.

 

at tier 6 what advantage do 406 guns have over 381? The only thing you’ll face that can bow tank one and not the other are a couple of tier 8 cruisers.
