A rant against *edit!!!

Okay, so I am playing my Belfast and doing a great job in the game if I say so myself.

Enemy Gneisenau and Yorck sunk. Use radar to unmask a smoking DD and BB in our base who then get blapped.. so we are ahead by points..

55 seconds to go we are winning by points.. 4 ships sunk because of me directly and indirectly...

 

Then the most *edit of all BB players rams me and I am dead... for 2 minutes I was fighting with 18hp and he goes and rams me.. I wasn't even in open water but tucked safely away so I would not be hit by the enemy.. The games played today I despair... I mean 55 seconds....

 

How can you ever improve a WR with players like these?

In this specific situation ,yes its possible you were let down by your team. However:

 

Your overall stats are very poor, and this has nothing to do with your teams, as that variable averages out over a large enough sample size, the only constant in all your matches is YOU.

Yeah must be me.. Games today..omg I performed so badly... as you say... you cannot raise a WR with a crap team no matter how well you play.

Linking specific matches means nothing, nada.

 

You cant carry every team, but you can carry some, and by playing badly, you can drag some teams down.

 

Over thousands of battles, the amount of bad players on your team will averege out against the amount of bad players on the enemy teams, which means that which teamates you get, have zero impact on your overall winrate. Basic first-grade statistics.

 

Over a large enought sample size, all random variables will even out, and therefore lose all meaning. The only thing of impact that remains, are the constants. In this case, the only constant over your thousands of matches, is you.

 

Sure, you can go on blaming your teams for your bad winrate, but its a lie, and it wont get you anywhere.

Well, some people still do not get it. Having good stats does not means you help your team. Yes good players have good stats in general but that doesn't means that all who have nice stats are good players. 

 

Just some players are selfish and prefer personal well-being over team play.

That is true for personal rating, but not for winrate. If doing something selfish means that you win more matches, then it was the right call to do that selfish thing.

Even when its true, it would mean that their style of play of personal well-being have more often ended in a win than a loss.

 

Winrate (with high enough amount games played) is the stat that counts. Every other stats are only indicator for the personal playstyle.

I wonder if that is true for personal rating. I see it go up when I play many solo battles. 

In div, usually I shoot the cruiser, my div-mate in the DD sends it to the bottom.

Together we usually end in top 3 (win or lose). We both still have lousy PR.

Just ran into this guy. He is toptier with his IX Musashi in a VII - IX battle. Our last ship alive and our worst player in the bottom of our whole defeated team. Open his stats and im smacked. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THIS?
