I voted for "Wait for anything else" because I'm currently on the fence about should I get the Krohnstadt or not 

I have owned Missouri pretty long time and it makes good amount of credits and free xp when you mount the said flags in the ship. When I saw the news about Musashi and Krohnstadt being removed I chosed to open Musashi. I had about one million free xp at that time. 

My first game with Musashi about 70k damage. Okay gotta play more to learn the guns. Second game 199k damage. Thought myself that wow this ship feels awesome. I have now played few days only with Musashi (14 games) with credit and free xp flags and its really decent. Not as good as Missouri but definitely decent enough. Althought Missouri earns more I still haven't had the urge to play Missouri over Musashi. There is something about those guns. The sound and the punch to be exact. I really enjoy this ship and I can recommend Musashi to anyone who likes BBs like me and is somewhat semi-aggressive with BBs, meaning not sniping from 25km ranges but moving along with your teammates and support them because Musashi has guns that can hurt you bad. Just don't go alone to close brawling distances and you are fine.

 

But now for the final question for all of you. I now have about 300k free xp accumulated and I nearly have enough gold for now to convert more free xp with gold to get the Krohnstadt. Should I do it or should I wait for Alaska or something else? I really like CA gameplay and watched lots of videos about Krohnstadt but what are your thoughts about the ship?

Apart from getting a missouri by some unholy means id say musashi, easy to deal damage in since it requires less care to position properly for hits to count, you just slap on that main battery reload module in last slot, concealment module and dispersion module and  captain with survival build and EM on it (12pt is enough if needbee) and some extra cash and reduce service cost flags and rake in the doe

I mean, Musashi is available for coal as well (that's how I got her), so if you really want her one option is to farm coal for the next couple of months. With the 25% coupon and the events giving lots of coal, it should be doable depending on what you currently have. Then you can get Kron for free exp.

 

If you only get one, though, I suspect Musashi is the safer option as a credit earner. It's rare to have a really bad game in her, and you're almost always going to make a decent profit. Kron seems more situational (however, take that statement with a grain of salt as I don't have her myself yet).

When I see Musashis in the red team with my CV then I know that I will have a fun time. For the moment, CVs are rare, but after the CV rework everybody and their mother will play CVs. All the new ships released recently have high AA, for a good reason. Tech tree ships will probably be balanced to cope with the new meneace, but outdated premiums probably not. Your only long term hope with Musashi is that the CV rework becomes unpopular and CVs become rare again. Personally I will wait to see if Alaska becomes free XP then go for it. I have had an encounter with an Alaska that cost me a bunch of planes...

Musashi's weakness to CV is overrated. In that 1 from 10 games when u see a CV, just  find some AA cruiser and stay close. And even if u get focused by the CV, u can manouver to get the torps in the torp protection bulges and reduce the dmg(55% reduction on a tier 9 ship, Montana have 37% and GK 25%). Even if u had good AA, after u receive some sustained HE fire most modules would be destroyed. And if the CV driver is skilled he will kill  u even if u are in a Montana.(strong AA BB).

Kronshtadt's stats kind of speak for themselves as far as how good she is objectively.

 

I'd say it's one of those ships you'll probably like if you like radar CA's in general. Despite all that talk about "she's really a BB", she's really still a radar cruiser, just one that can take a hit much better. Good angling is much rewarded here. The accuracy is kind of dubious, but again it's no issue if you take your ship to radar range anyway. It's a really strong ship if you do the analysis and play it properly.

 

I really love her because I can do my classic USN CA playstyle, but I can  protect myself better by angling well, and I'm less reliant on braindead HE spamming from behind islands. She gives the good stuff about cruisers and takes away the boring/frustrating stuff.

I wouldn't hold out for Missouri coming back. Alaska and Kron are likely to have the same earnings. Musashi is just a box with huge guns and nothing else of interest, makes Yamato look sophisticated. I say get one of the battlecruisers, but decide before Kron gets removed. Ah, but keep in mind Alaska is likely to be 1m instead of 750k.

Now that I watched Flamus newest "Cruiser killer" video about Alaska, I wasn't so impressed that I should not get Krohnstadt and save my free xp for Alaska. Sure it can decimate cruisers like a boss like that video shows but there was also a quite big weakness in its gun when Flamu tried to citadel Montana from 10km away. Just bounces where Krohnstadt would have scored citadels. Not the end of the world so to say but a pretty big weakness overall IMO.

When you consider Kronstadt or Alaska just remember that Kronstadt will be gone for good  in mid January while Alaska will be here for at least half year(speculation)

Missouri will not come back any time soon. You can only get it in X-mas boxes.

 

MOOsashi is currently the most reliable credit farmer. It is basically impossible to not do decent damage in her.
