Also, I believe that the crates aren't technically gambling (in most areas - Belgium, I think, seems to have recently changed its view), because we are getting at least the money value on the crates with the worst contents; so, if you buy ten crates and get camo in every last one, you technically got your money's worth. Personally, I would be surprised if WG was messing with the odds mid-promotion, for a couple of reasons: first, imagine the biblical-level sh*t-storm that would result if people found out - that's brand-killing level stuff for most companies. Second, they probably don't need to - if their spreadsheet people are any good, they'll have costed out the whole thing very thoroughly (and they have good data from previous promos to work with), and have a pretty good sense of how things will play out without having to risk changing anything on the fly.

 

 

 

While we technically of course could change the contents, it would be a very silly thing to do. As you mentioned, the potential fallout would be terrible.

 

We always calculate the average value of each container we sell or distribute via missions based on the chances of the various items appearing. For two reasons: Firstly we want to make sure that our game economy keeps working and secondly we do actually want to make sure that anyone supporting us by purchasing said containers gets their money's worth of items.

Thank you for the clarification, I was getting worried, for some reason i was only hearing positive stories at the start of the event, which gradually turned more negative. 

 

By the way, why don't you publish the odds on the crates or 'value' calculations, I have to read the forums to find out if they're worth it or not?
