Musashi and Kronshtadt

Starting from update 0.8.0, Tier IX ships Musashi and Kronshtadt will no longer be available to purchase with Free XP and also cannot be obtained for Coal in the game client.

These ships are becoming extremely popular for their tier, and to avoid Tier IX battles becoming packed with them, as well as to maintain diversity, we decided to remove the possibility of purchasing or obtaining these ships for an indefinite period. As such, they have already been replaced with French Tier IX battleship Jean Bart, with plans in progress to introduce another ship of the same tier in future.

We understand that accumulating resources for these ships is a long process, which is why we wanted to warn you in advance so that those of you who are interested can steer these ships into your Ports before Update 0.8.0 goes live. You have approximately two months remaining to get Musashi and Kronshtadt. 

 

The following warships may now appear in Supercontainers: Kronshtadt, Missouri and Musashi.

Shame, was going to try to save for Musashi. Oh well, something equally as interesting might pop up when she goes, so it isn't all bad I suppose.

just grind the LM yamato its a way better ship

as for Kron i dont buy their reason i dont see many of them 
i guess they pull them to readjust their prices

Eh, I'm only at Fuso, so that could take a while. Still, I have that HSF permacamo for her that is collecting dust, so I guess I'll get a move on up the IJN BB tree.

Use some XP flags and a premium account for a bit and you'll have her in notime.

You could freeXP to Yamato for less than the 750k FreeXP needed for Musashi.

Most likely. This would give them a way to permanently remove Balancegrad out of reach of normal players, meaning it will remain a toy for unicum players only.

What do Kronshtadt owners think of her? LWM seems to think she's a fun 'gudbote' - is that the general consensus?

 

Trying to decide if I can be bothered chasing her, before removal...

hm thats actually  a reason to buy the musashi..... i would hate to have it drop from  a SC when im sitting on 2.7M FXP

I happen to have gotten Kronstadt just a few days ago.

 

As you can imagine, I played very few battles with her (did play a few coopp battles and one random I think).

 

Overall my impressions were loosely these:

 

Guns are overall not very accurate. They kinda seem reminiscent to the spread of something like Musashi or the Brit BBs.

They play and move like large cruisers, not even as much like a BB.

Conceilment is bad, but your radar is helpfull in kinda aleviating this shortcoming.

It seems relatively tanky. But you'll take a LOT of damage when broadsiding (as you should imo...and as BBs also should if you ask me).

 

It has no option to take hydro, only between DefAA and spotter plane (which means that if you see a Kronstadt with spotter plane, you know it will not have DefAA).

 

Almost forgot about the HE. To me the HE actually seems decent, especially when taking into account the RoF.

I ended up using HE from longer ranges as the guns will not hit very much at great distances.

 

Oh and don't bother shooting at DDs with this thing. You'll just waste your shells and pay higher resupply bill post-battle 

 

The ship itself is good looking I think.

 

But if I were to advice someone in making a chocie between Musashi and Kronstadt, my vote would be for to get Musashi
