[WG] Tuccy [WG] WG Staff, Alpha Tester 3,516 posts 11,626 battles Report post #1 Posted April 16, 2015 Captains! Recently there were a number of reports about the survivability of the primary armament on some types of ships being too low. At first we assumed this was probably just a case of several separate game testers suffering a string of bad luck. But later, when the number of complaints increased, we decided to take a closer look at this component of the game. Eventually – thanks to your help, dear testers – we detected the problem. Here’s what happened: Trying to make Version 0.3.0.3 more rich and consistent, we included some improvements intended for Version 0.3.1 by mistake. The problem was that, at the time of Version 0.3.0.3, those improvements were not completely configured. Specifically, while we did include turret barbettes (what is that? The Wiki is our friend!) as a part of the primary gun turret hitbox, their armor was set to zero. Those changes affected the following ships: Cleveland Pensacola Atlanta New Orleans Baltimore Des Moines Aoba Myoko Mogami Ibuki Senjo Kawachi Myogi Kongo Fuso Nagato Amagi Yamato Now that we definitely know what the problem is, we will get it fixed as soon as we can. In fact, the first steps will be taken tomorrow! The barbette armor will be set to the proper thickness for all listed ships. Following this update, your guns should be destroyed less often or at least less fast – and we will be able to collect some interesting statistics. At the same time, we are getting closer to the version 0.3.1 and the complex armor changes it contains, that will be described soon in the Developer Bulletin. Thank you for your feedback which allowed us to fix the issue so soon and sorry for the inconvenience this mistake caused to you. Because of this incident we will be able to improve the game version verification system to minimize the occurrence of similar incidents in the future. Thank you for your attention and have a great weekend*! *Yes, we know it is only Thursday - it's the spirit that counts!

I hope this means cruiser citadel and armour will well..be actual armour and not 3 shots boom from anything which farts in the cruisers general direction.. So my cleveland last week and amagi's back turrets getting assploded off the side of the ship from glancing shots were not just a figment of my imagination and were a bug, good good. Also since were on the topic of patches, General discussion brought up info about 0.3.1 from the russian side, do you have a idea when we are likely to have that, next week/week after? Also pretty please with a cherry on top, more detail patchnotes so we know whats in the patches ;) Edited April 16, 2015 by Skullcap

Real Tuccy will stay in the salt mines forever! Anyway, guys as you can see, we want to share information as much as possible - on the other hand we also want to share only information that was confirmed and preferably acted upon. So as much as we would like to share preliminary info etc. - it is always risky and can create confusion / disappointment (such as when the time estimate does not work).
