Are there any plans to reintroduce the camouglages of the past contests? Some of us have missed the missions at the time. If you bring them back that would be nice, even in the arsenal would be fine.

Hi guys!

I am happy to present my idea for cammo for ORP Błyskawica. Like few other competitors i decided to add some historical and symbolical objects.
Subtle lightning pattern is a background for a painted winged hussar. I decided to make a risky manevour and put the wings on the whole ship's structure, including command tower.
A single big chimney  serves as a background for banner under which the hussar regiments charged.
A good eye can see an art deco like eagle in the pattern of cammo on the center of the ship.

It took me some time to invent something nice and original, i start drawing not earlier than i come up with a design i liked :)

In general i see some nice designs here, would be nice to see more than one, winning, cammo in game.

WeeGee where is the public voting for the camo's in your own time plan you listed the voted to begin 16th of november at 1am CET, but here 15½ hours later there is still nothing. When can we expect to see the final 10 camo's?

Let's see, maybe they postponed it to Saturday. We will see.

Honestly, I thought that the schedule was very optimistic when I first saw it. They have to

• collect all the designs from the different sources
• select their favourites, maybe in a committee with several people
• maybe have somebody higher up in St. Petersburg sign off that all designs would be okay in the game
• check that the camouflages do not contain some hidden insult against anybody (is a black-white-red design just a black design with the Polish colours, or is it actually a design in the colours of the German empire which is going to get the whole Polish community up in arms?)
• check with the developers if all designs would be suitable for implementation from a technical point of view
• probably have the legal department check if the designs contain no intellectual property rights violations

And probably a bunch of other things.

 

That's a lot of stuff that a lot of different people have to do for them, and this contest may not be the highest priority for these people, so they may not be doing it immediately. I can understand why they wanted to have the voting as soon as possible, to keep the buzz going, but I can also understand why it is taking some time.

I've underestimated  the potential of our community - which is actually a positive thing but brought me a lot of work. 
Voting stage will start most likely on 19/11/2018 - Monday.

Our team went through over 300 submissions to pick projects suitable for voting stage.
