TST server downloaded and ready to go. Interested to see what these are like albeit vastly different from the original version that isn't necessarily going to make this a defacto bad experience to play.

 

My real test will be how effective I can be compared to the original style of play. If I'm seeing similar damage and credit returns then I'll know it's along the same lines for me as a player.

 

I'm no CV god but I have played them since beta and I think this will be an interesting test in many respects.

 

Kudos on the no NDA as well WG, pleased I can share this with my viewers as I know there will be some that will want to see.

Nice. And do you know if we can download the test instance today and just update tomorrow? Does it work the same way as the normal Version? Or is it a full download each time?

Guys, a though crossed my mind after reading the FAQ's from the first round of Super Test for CV's:

If Ranger is coming down to T6, some new ship has to fill a blank space left. Could that space be filled with USS Yorktown (CV-5)?

To be more specific, Lexington comes down to T7, and Yorktown is introduced at T8.

Two pros for this theory:

- we already have a ship of the same class in-game, USS Enterprise (CV-6), therefore, small model changes don't take as long;

- historically, if I'm not mistaken, Yorktown was built after Lexington, and probably a more modern design, witch makes for a logical progression (... Ranger -> Lexington -> Yorktown -> Essex ...), right?

No thoughs about any cons for this theory.

What do you think?

premium ships like the Atlanta and Kidd should be made available for the test. I would like to see how they would perform under the new AA rework:)

I hope the idea of a carrier rework might change your mind...
