Hey everyone!

Last week, I got my 2nd T10: Worcester. Such an amazing ship, I love her so much. The thing is: I don't know what line I should grind next. I'm doubting between these ships:

  1. Montana (currently at T7 Colorado)
  2. Conqueror (currently at T7 King George V)
  3. Minotaur (currently at T8 Edinburgh)
  4. Harugumo (currently at T8 Akizuki)
  5. Gearing (currently at T8 Benson)
  6. Midway (currently at T7 Ranger)

Here is a link to my stats page, so you guys can see what ship class I like most and what ship class I perform best in (https://wows-numbers.com/player/540813098,TheRedboss/). I like cruisers most, but I now own 2 T10 cruisers so I wanna try to get a BB, DD or CV next. Please answer the poll so I can see what you guys think of it :D. If there is another ship you think I should grind and didn't include it in the poll, just let me know in the comments. Thanks in advance, I'm really struggling on deciding :/

If you do not know what you want after 2500 battles, that is a bad sign.

Speaking as a DD enthusiast, I'd go with Gearing - she's enormous fun, and still holds her own against the newer introductions...

Minotaur really isn't a cruiser. In fact, all the tier X cruisers are very unique and play like their own tiny class. If you want a destroyer though, the Harugumo is utterly brutal and cuts everything to ribbons. Montana is a pretty great ship, boring but very effective. I would advise against the Midway and the Minotaur. Carriers, at tier X, plays very different from them at tier 8 and you'll be seeing half of your games with enemy CVs in AA divisions to make your life miserable. The Conqueror can farm a lot of damage, but I find her boring and she is very much a ship that requires the enemy to make your mistakes for you so I would not recommend her either. The Gearing, I find her boring. But each to their own.

Log in to PT and see for yourself. Always best to try before you grind.

I don't care but please wait for CV rework to grind midway. I don't want another CV player now.

I would recommend  the Montana great guns, fast reload also tanky enough to get in close and nasty and can turn away from trouble

maybe not the Gearing, but Fletcher's amazing. I'd at least go for that one.

Minotaur hands down.

Edinburgh is alright, Neptune is strange...neither here nor there...but Minotaur is amazing.

My second favourite ship, after the Scharnhorst. I play it mostly with smoke, but occasionally I use radar if I feel brave. There are a lot of radars around nowadays, but if you play it right (use islands, don't sit broadside on in the smoke, anticipate torpedoes and enemies triggering radar) you can be super effective. The guns are really really good, and you can surprise enemy cruisers who think "Oh look, UK CL = easy citadels" and unload AP at you, while you bowtank most of their damage, using your superheal to good effect before cruising past them to fill their sides with citadels (or torps).

Playing Mino is about quickthinking and planning, but also patience as well.

You can rape destroyers as well with ease if you surprise them up close, or even from range.

I enjoyed her very much - dunno what many players seem to dislike about her:cap_hmm:

It's not like you wanna get shot at with any of the other ships of that line.

Also a clear upgrade over the shitty Edinburgh :Smile-_tongue:

First CL with the heaviest AP shells the line has to offer.

Previous ships are slightly less prone to implode on sight. And Odinburger was okay, though she was and even more nowadays is violated by T8 MM and Fiji being Fiji tier lower.

I guess it depends on what class you are comfortable with. I think my first T10 was the Gearing as I liked DD play. I've tried CA (Hinden) but prefer either DD or BB at T10. That being said the Mino is a fun ship in the right situation and as has been noted, can wreck DDs if it's given the chance. See this for an example from one of my recent Ranked games.

Nothing, cause tier ten is dead.

If you do want smt, go conqueror, ultimate cure for relaxing high tier gameplay after seeing too much braindeads.

Before radar madness it was my most played DD (1600 random battles) - but now Gearing is more effective thanks to long torp, more HP and 4 guns on bow...

Im with you on that one :cap_like:

Imo Neptune is good, because the competition is not THAT great - compared to Mino where you have other beasts on T10 aswell. So you can get a Buffalo on the enemy team when you are Neptune, but when you play Mino can be a DM - which is much better than Buffalo.

to OP:

Id go for Monty, if you dont want another Cruiser^^ NC/Iowa are decent BBs imo, once you get past Lollorado.

If you are good at CVs you'll have the most fun in midway.
