Too many dd

Does anybody see latest that is in Tier X game very often 5dd per side?

For me it seem this game become World of Torpedos:(

That sucks. Can you imagine ANY OTHER specialist class flooding the matchmaker and ruining the game for everyone else? Awful.

Last couple of games has been really oDD. Both sides have had 4-5 DD's and often other side DD's just rush and die in first 3-4 minutes leaving other team without DD's and then that team loses within minute. It is just really confusing and bit frustrating to play but after this RN DD event it will get better :)

I'm not familiar with your particular alphabet, but in the Latin alphabet "d" and "b" are quite different, although I might understand they look similar from an outsider's perspective.

 

And yea, we're aware of the bb flood. Even WG's BS department has recognized it to be a problem more than a year ago. That's why they brought out deep water torpedoes and AP bombs, cause they only hit BBs extremely hard, and no one else.

Take any radar thread and you will know its impossible to play DD.

Not really. Cruiser and BB still outnumber DD significantly.

 

And if you cannot use your own DD for torpedo protection, then that is your personal problem.

In high-tier games I'd say there is a "problem" with 5 DDs per team but in fact after 4-5 minutes into the game there are usually only 2-3 altogether alive

 

It may look like a world of torpedoes but check the postgame stats in a run of 20-30 games, you will notice how bad/average DD performs.

Either they cancel each other in wild cap skirmish or are steamrolled by Worcester, DesMoines, Moskva. Seattle, Donskoi, Missouri, Minotaur, Bufallo, Kronstad, Stalingrad, Cleveland etc a s_hit load of radar ships   

And if one is lucky enough to survive then a Conkek will sell you a 10k HE salvo with all modules down and 3 fires on top

Dunno I’ve seen more 2-3 DD games at tier 10 the past week than 5 DD games... 

 

Dont care how many DDs there are, after 5 minutes I’ll be able to impact the game alot more since I’ll usually be one of the DDs remaining because I dont suicide on caps and radar cruisers ;)

The 5 DDs pr side is the mid tiers. The high tiers not so much.

And the funny part OP, is that when there are less DDs around, I've got the best time to torp your BB.

Way to many BB's as well. Its the count of BB's that cause the high amount of DD's If Matchmaking was flooded with cruisers DD count would decline.... So it all starts reducing the BB's

Once in a while, DD numbers spike and you get five DDs per team quite often.

 

Once in a very rare while, you don't have five BBs per team. I actually had one yesterday, and I was even top tier in Ashigara. Just sucked that WG decided to screw around with my consumables and equip me with Def AA instead of the sonar I always run on that ship (because Ashigara was born to yolo submarines smokes).
