Wondering why WG is making the wrong version of West Virginia??? Why do WG think people would buy a A hull version of Colorado at T-VI when the refitted final version have so much history.. I fully support the US player base in this.

A tier 8 BB only capable of 21 knots? History or not is that a good idea?

Put it at T-VII, swap it with Colorado in the tech tree and make the Colorado the premium.

At T7 she'll be too OP, do we really need a new Belfast, Imperator Nikolia or Gremyashchy  in the game. If they put her in at T7 they'll be accused of adding P2W content again.

I love how they completely ignore the easy desirable fix of renaming it to the Maryland as suggested by the american community.

But we know how wg likes to double down on stubborn decisions.

It would not be pay to win if it was replacing the Colorado as the silver T-VII US BB.

I for one would love to see it in the '44 refit config.

Why not bump it to tier 8, give it the Massachusetts secondary buffs and 2.0 dispersion, negating the speed disadvantage. The dreadnoughts were pretty much used for shore bombardment anyway.

Are there any US (battle)ships that won't trigger the NA playerbase at this point? :Smile_hiding:

Not P2W then but an OP T7 ship still. She'd still be a T7 hull with a T8 armament.

I agree with this. Make WV regular T7 BB and make Colorado Premium T7 BB. This way WG can justify increasing of sigma on Colorado so that Colorado could have better, more accurate, guns for less AA and less HP. Than Tennessee or California could be added as T7 Premium which will be something between WV and NM.

Give  a post pearl harbour  West Virginia terrible acceleration, 1.8 Sigma, normal heal, but keep her great AA on Tier 7. It would make her really good in games with CVs, but way worse than normal Colorado in all other games. Would sound like a fair side grade to me.

Edit: And rename the Tier 6 one Maryland.

Just make it a tier 8 with all the characteristics it should have.

If people dislike its slow speed then they can choose not to buy it.

It would really set it apart from the other american battleships at the tier.

Does the US sever bring in the most $$$$?

WV now splits into two ships, WV 41 and WV 44 ...If only there was a 3rd Colorado class battleship and one of the big 7 they could use for WV 41.

Have you not played KGV or the fantasy Lyon? WV44 would need massive ahistorical buffs to keep up with this crazy powercreep.

Dear players.

After the announcement of the tier VI American battleship West Virginia, we noticed that many of you would like to see this ship in a later configuration. Thank you for your feedback. We would like to inform you that the battleship, which we plan to add to the game now, will be renamed and called West Virginia ’41, and in the future we plan to create a West Virginia from a later period.

We would also like to note that the creation of a new configuration of the ship is a long process, which is largely similar to the creation of a ship from scratch. To reliably recreate the state of the ship for a certain year, we need to collect a lot of materials and evidence, work on the model, and carry it through all stages of testing. Therefore, we can not promise that West Virginia of the late period will appear in the game in the near future and ask for your patience and understanding as we work to deliver a ship that fits your expectations according to your valued feedback.

There you have the answer from WG about the West Virginia drama.

Why we need a premium tier 7 US BB?!

Because is the only one missing from tiers 5 to 9.

Yeah, I'd be more inclined to grab a Maryland than a West Virginia '41.

Does Maryland look much different than West Virginia (super structure-wise)? Maybe the just don't want to rework the mesh anymore? But having two different premiums of the very ships is really kinda stupid.

USS Colorado, USS Maryland, and USS West Virginia were sister ships of the Colorado class. Both Maryland and WeeVee underwent an overhaul in 1928, but at a quick glance the overhauls were identical.

It's the post Pearl Harbor refits that differ on both ships.
